After my first story pitch, the Fats which is now being developed by a video game company known as Vestiq, I have asked Poe.com, an AI company who writes and answers my questions in responses to my question on how my second  story pitch would go and it was inspired by Rip Van Winkle and Time After Time both of which included men out of time, the latter involving H.G Wells chasing Jack the Ripper to the present day. Only this time, it involves a man being born before the end of the Renaissance who is resurrected before the end of the 16th century and must adjust to modern times while discovering the source of his resurrection.

 

 

The Living Anchor Synopsis: Grizzled, Long-haired and long-bearded, Englishman, Thomas Wodehouse finds himself resurrected in present‑day America after being killed in 1599. He finds that old loyalties, superstition, and craftsmanship have been replaced with law, technology, and an old rival from his past who had also been resurrected in the modern era now wants to use him for his evil ends. Thomas now must adjust to life in the 21st Century while facing supernatural threats

Thomas Wodehouse: born in 1573, Thomas was a businessman of the late Renaissance — a tanner’s son who became a explorer and worked as a alchemist , married to a woman who was pregnant with their child when he died and was told to have immersed in herbal lore and banned books. He keeps a very long bushy beard and very long hair, which regarded him as rusty and a man of stories in his time. He’s honest, blunt, stubborn, and tends to rely on survival more than ideology. Thomas's key traits are his honesty, desire to learn about the modern world and loyalty to Maya and Isobel and his flaws are his stubbornness, cluelesssness about modern things and getting into fights that would have been common in his era. His character arc is about letting go of the past and moving on in the modern world.

Maya Collins: Maya is a folklorist and PhD candidate who is specialised in colonial superstitions. She is practical, skeptical but will accept evidence as Thomas tells her the truth about who he is. She becomes Thomas’s translator and moral guidance in the modern world.

Dr. Rowan Black: Dr. Black is the CEO of ChronaTech and leader of the modern Order of Aurel — an occult‑science cult who is attempting to stabilize the structure to rewrite events for political ends. He is known to be Charismatic, ruthless, and fluent in arcane liturgy.

Professor Lyle Anders: Professor Anders is a retired historian and member of a hidden scientific university who has studied Aurelian symbols; he knows how to read the structure but not how to control it.

Jun Park: Jun is a hacker and psychonaut who can detect electromagnetic ley lines and is sensitive to echo‑manifestations because of a childhood near a node.

Elias Voss is a man from Thomas's era, who was an ambitious, brilliant, and ethically ruthless alchemist who believed that man needed to use memory and grief to remake society — not as a utopia but as an empire. In stark contrast to Thomas who was gentler with alchemy , Voss pursued a brute force of operations which included synthetic homunculi, forced erasure, and soul commodification. .Isobel Wodehouse Age: Late 20s-to-mid-30s She is the Direct descendant of Thomas Wodehouse who is a urban businesswoman, archivist, and activist. Personality: A sensible very curious woman who owns a artefact company with modern science and street‑level politics.

The duel takes place in the wilderness of 16th century of America. Hamlet and Romeo and Juliet had first been developed and Thomas and Elias have had their last battle in a thick land of old pines, marshy creeks and glacial stones near a fog-laden sea, companioned by a servant. The battle begins in a binding circle drawn in the sand with ash and iron fillings. Thomas chants in Latin and Elias answers with his own incantations. The battle ends with Thomas wounded, but is bound to Elias's essence as he completes the incantation and is trapped into a token Sub-plots: Thomas struggles to adapt to the modern era as Maya allows him to stay at her apartment and cuts off his long hair and beard and he starts dressing into modern clothes and is shocked and bewildered by technology like iPhones, TV and banks
