I have been a dedicated fan of Marvel's 2021 film, Eternals, despite its mixed reviews. For many, including myself, the movie offered a glimpse into a new realm of possibilities within the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). As the Multiverse Saga unfolded post-Avengers: Endgame — which nearly grossed $3 billion at the box office — it became apparent that the MCU was in need of fresh and invigorating content to recapture the magic and enthusiasm of its fanbase. Enter the Eternals.

The inclusion of iconic characters like Spider-Man, The Avengers, the Fantastic Four, the X-Men, the Guardians of the Galaxy, and Doctor Strange in NetEase Games and Marvel Games' live-service video game, Marvel Rivals, has been a notable addition. However, the absence of the Eternals is a glaring omission that needs to be addressed. By incorporating two of the central characters from the Eternals — Ikaris and Sersi — into Marvel Rivals, fans would be provided the unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the Eternals’ universe and explore the rich narrative that has yet to be concluded from the movie.

Moreover, bringing these characters into the gaming world could significantly bolster the prospects of making Eternals 2 a reality. It gives the Eternals a platform to shine and potentially redeem the brand's name within the MCU and the vibrant Marvel comic universe.

By urging NetEase Games and Marvel Games to include the Eternals in a future season of Marvel Rivals, we can help bridge the gap between the current narrative gaps in the MCU and inspire a new generation of fans.
