It is deeply personal to me and to many Americans that we maintain the integrity of our democracy. This includes holding our leaders accountable for their actions. Donald Trump has not only proven to be a threat to our democratic system, but recent findings suggest he has partaken in underhanded activities which question his suitability for office. He has, for instance, admitted that Elon Musk manipulated the 2024 presidential elections, with computers being deployed to swing votes in Pennsylvania in his favor. This goes against the very fabric of our democratic system.

Furthermore, increased support is emerging for Kamala Harris, the potential first female president of the United States. A wave of prior Trump supporters are changing their loyalties, with thousands switching their vote to Harris for her dedication to democracy and equality.

Donald Trump's actions on January 6th, 2021, were also of severe concern. As reported by renowned journalist Jack Smith, Trump actively engaged in activities leading to the Capitol insurrection. His willingness to trounce crucial political and cultural occasions - demonstrated by his cancellation of all events on his inauguration day, including the commemoration of Martin Luther King's legacy - further proves his disrespect for our amalgamated heritage and democratic symbols.

However, we have the power and duty to stand against injustices against our democracy. This is why we must stand together, asking for the impeachment of Donald Trump and the subsequent election of Kamala Harris as President. Our democratic flame must continue to burn bright, and it can only achieve this through leaders who truly respect and uphold its ideals.
