As a long-time fan of the Sonic franchise, I was thrilled to hear about the addition of beloved DLC characters like Joker from Persona, Hatsune Miku, Ichiban Kasuga, NiGHTs, and many more to Sonic Racing: Crossworlds. Characters such as SpongeBob SquarePants, Pac-Man, Mega-Man, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles add a layer of excitement that truly broadens the experience. However, the lack of character voice interactions in the game has deeply disappointed many fans, including myself.

Sega decided against giving these characters voices in an effort to avoid licensing issues with external companies. While the intention to simplify logistics is understandable, this choice has left the game feeling incomplete. The interaction between characters is a vital element that makes the gaming experience more immersive and entertaining.

Imagine the thrill and nostalgia of hearing Tom Kenny reprise his role as SpongeBob or hearing the iconic voices of the Ninja Turtles bringing life to the game. Their interactions with Sonic and other characters would enhance the gaming experience manifold. Licensing these voices should be seen as an investment in player happiness and satisfaction.

Moreover, giving voices to characters like Ai Ai, Steve, Alex, and others in the game wouldn't just bring them to life but also pay homage to the original franchises and respect their creators' vision. It would ensure that each character is represented authentically in all their glory.

We commend Sega on striving to deliver exceptional gaming experiences. However, we believe that addressing this issue would lift Sonic Racing: Crossworlds to new heights. Please reconsider the decision to silence these unique voices. Adding voice interactions can increase the game’s appeal, establish stronger connections with fans, and bring a whole new dynamic to racing with these beloved characters.

Join me in urging Sega to take this step not just to boost Sonic Racing: Crossworlds’ success, but to respect and honor the incredible universes these characters come from.
