I am writing this petition on behalf of a friend who is deeply passionate about preserving the legacy of Disney's original animated films. He, like many others, has grown disenchanted with the recent wave of live-action remakes. In light of recent events, where Disney paused many of its live-action remakes after "Snow White" failed to capture the essence of its predecessor and strayed from its source material, it's evident that change is needed. While these live-action adaptations seek to reintroduce beloved stories to a new audience, they often dilute the charm and vibrancy that made the animated versions timeless.

The statistics reveal a clear pattern: the majority of these remakes, despite huge financial investments, do not resonate with audiences or critics alike. With the success of the original films largely attributed to their creative animation, innovative storylines, and rich character developments, the industry is at risk of losing its unique narrative style in the pursuit of commercial success.

We are calling for Disney to halt the production of inferior live-action remakes and instead focus on creating original content or reimagine their approach to adaptation. Disney possesses a treasure trove of classic tales that define not just a genre, but entire childhoods. These stories deserve to be cherished, respected, and preserved in their original animated glory for future generations.
