I am a passionate fan of the Wiggles, particularly Greg Page, who had to leave the group for five years due to Orthostatic Intolerance (OI). This condition is not only affecting beloved performers like Greg but also countless others worldwide. OI is a form of dysautonomia that can cause various symptoms including lightheadedness, fainting, and rapid heartbeat. It's estimated that millions of people around the globe suffer from some form of dysautonomia (Source: Dysautonomia International).

Just like Greg Page who has been an advocate for heart disease awareness after his own health scare in 2020, I too want to see medical conditions like OI become history. We need more research into this condition and better treatment options for those suffering from it.

Jeff Fatt, also a member of the Wiggles, suffers from a heart condition known as arrhythmia. Fortunately, he underwent heart surgery and was fitted with a defibrillator at Sydney's Mater Hospital. This is another reason that we want to see heart disease become history.

 

Speaks to your doctors and donate to charities that will be able to prevent worsening health. Millions of dollars will accelerate research and treatment for Orthostatic Intolerance if all of us become advocates for heart disease like Greg has.
