I stand firmly—without hesitation or compromise—for the right of every high school student in Katy ISD to bring their own personal laptop to school. This isn’t just about convenience. It’s about equity. It’s about empowerment. It’s about preparing our young people to compete, contribute, and create in a world that is moving fast and leaving no room for delay.
When we restrict students from using the very tools that could unlock their creativity, their curiosity, and their confidence—we’re not just holding back technology. We’re holding back potential.
Some of our students go home to challenges most adults would struggle to navigate. For many, that laptop might be their only consistent access point to opportunity. Letting them bring it into the classroom means we're not asking them to switch gears between two different worlds—we’re allowing their worlds to align. We’re affirming their right to learn, to lead, and to rise using the tools they’ve already learned to master.
This isn’t about replacing school resources. It’s about reinforcing trust in students as thinkers, dreamers, and problem-solvers. It’s about letting them show up—fully prepared, fully equipped, and fully themselves.
And that’s something I won’t compromise on. Not now. Not ever.

It is truly heartbreaking seeing all these new girls that got to experience the same joy and union of the team be torn apart, as well as those who I got to share the experience with. All the time, money, effort, and especially the union everyone made, just unfairly be dismantled is not right, taking away the safe space it gave for many is not right.

I was there see her preform her show and she seem so graceful, she should never have to let something that she loves go just because of these people who decided that this company is not worth keeping. Please let them keep the company and keep these kids smiling.

These dancers have worked so hard to both keep and maintain a productive, healthy environment to fuel their love for dancing. They deserve to keep it for at least a full year. Unacceptable for the coaches to lack communication and respect for the dancers, their families, and the school this way.

Keira supported: Save Paetow High School Dance CompanyWe here at paetow have been heavily neglected from our dance coaches, one particular team dance company is facing the consequences of their coaches actions of dismantling the whole team halfway through the year. As a member of the team we have faced immense, emotional distress, mental, and physical stress and immense amount of neglect from our coaches. Theyve left us alone unsupervised for multiple practices, hour long bus rides, which has caused safety concerns and weve even had members have health problems. I genuinely can't believe that paetow or katy isd would allow such coaches as Branye love Young and Elizabeth White to coach any team, when they are clearly incapable to do anything. The space that the previous coaches created is being destroyed, please do something, my heart goes out to these members, this is an infringement of freedom!
Antonio supported: Save Paetow High School Dance CompanyListen, I’m a student as SJH that is bound to be a Paetow Panther, but just when I found out about this from a Panther friend of mine sending me this, I had to help. I know why Dance has always been a staple to all schools, as it is a great way to show who they really are as a person by not just themselves, but a group they call family and that is their ability to bust a move. As a person who have been to pep rallies, it’s clear that it took some time to showcase the skill they love best, and knowing that Paetow is bound to disband the team, I know that all the hard work that the young dancers have put in will pay off in the future if disbanding wasn’t the move. So please, coming from the Sabercat myself, please have all the Panthers that love to dance have a purpose in their passion.

Seeing everyone cry on Friday broke my heart, and our coaches went and sat in their offices and didn’t show any remorse!
