Rail is possible. Upgrades, ONE section at a time, ties, crossings, right of way. Divide the island into sections, and get started on repairs. Bridges, trestles, are last to upgrade. l have history with rail maintenance, and KNOW this is possible. 80% of rail is there, don't waste it. Would be better way to ship supplies, to each community, as well at passenger travel. l would be willing to help in any way l can.

It would be a great option for tourists, anyone without a personal vehicle and allow for better/faster/easier commuting between cities.
It has been LONG proven than expanding highways systems only solves traffic in the short term and actually increases the number of cars using them. We urgently need to provide alternatives to reduce the amount of cars overall.
