Did you know Restore Island Rail started from conservative supporters?

Hi Supporters! Try the Photo Stand-In and the Map!
There's been a lot of messages from people concerned about what impact the change of government will have on the movement to Restore Island Rail, so we offer this simple fact to put people's mind at ease.
I began advocating for the railway in 2022 at the request of several people firmly in the conservative camp. From the beginning, this has been about bringing people together around a shared vision, not party politics. There are people from every camp involved in advocating for it.
RIRS remains proudly non-partisan. We’re hopeful that the new government will recognize the common-sense benefits of restoring Vancouver Island’s railway and seize the opportunity to deliver a lasting legacy for future generations.
Over the coming months we'll be taking the time to educate newly elected Councils, Mayors, and MLA's about why the business case for rail on Vancouver Island has never been stronger.
Stay tuned for updates as we figure this all out, and as always, thanks for your support!
