I live in Jersey City. The PATH should be a convenient way to travel into NYC, but because of long wait times and weekend service into Hoboken Jersey City residents suffer. You should not have to wait 20-40 minutes for a train on the weekends and be crushed by the sheer amount of people on the train. This amount of people indicates necessity… thus we need more trains running at more times.
Ellie supported: Urge the NJ Port Authority to Increase Frequency of PATH Services on Weekends
Long wait times and frequent delays leave riders stranded on weekends, leading to overcrowding on platforms and trains. People are late for work, visiting loved ones, events in the city. Riding the train can get really uncomfortable, it feels like an incident waiting to happen. Simple observation shows that the demand is there. Rush hour weekday service is very good, trains come frequently. Port Authority has the trains- run them!

Along with all the valid comments listed so far, another stands out: With Josyf Cardinal Slipyj located right at Beaver Bend and West Deane Park, the street is busy enough during morning drop-offs and afternoon pick-ups with cars flanking both sides of Beaver Bend, as well as school buses lining up along West Deane--I can't imagine the logistics of TTC buses coming through the area during the school year on a spring day, let alone the winter months when the roads are narrower with heavy snow fall and snow banks. This reroute plan makes absolutely no sense.
Joseph supported: Petition to Stop the TTC from PERMANENTLY Rerouting The East Mall 111 Through Beaver Bend
Beaver Bend and West Deane Park Dr. are too narrow to comfortably accommodate school buses AND TTC buses. It's already hard enough to leave the neighbourhood in the morning via both ends of West Deane Park Drive due to the parents coming in and out of the neighbourhood to drop off kids at Cardinal Slipyj. Especially when making a left turn from Beaver Bend onto the East Mall, when school buses come barreling around the corner to drop kids off – there's precious little room for both a car and a bus. I always feel like my car is going to get hit at the stop. What's going to happen if they add TTC buses into the mix? A TTC bus trying to make a left out (with a line of parents behind it, blocking the Rabbit Lane intersection) while a school bus is trying to get in is going to be dangerous. The clearing of sidewalks in winter is going to require a much better service commitment. No point in trying to offer accessibility if the sidewalks remain blocked – the four corners at Sedgebrook and Beaver Bend are usually left uncleared and impassible. Needs to be better thought out.

I personally rollerblade on beaverbend most days, me and my friends play roller hockey with a net outside on the street and having buses constantly passing us will not only make our games less enjoyable but also unsafe.

It is unacceptable to expose the neighbourhood to the noise and exhaust of these trucks when there is an alternative route available that does not travel through a community of homes, shops and an elementary school.
Carol supported: Reopen Clark Drive Entrance to Incoming Port Traffic — Safer Streets for All
We visit family who live on this truck route and feel these large truck should be using the route originally built for Port traffic and not through primarily residential neighbourhoods.

When the empty trucks have to stop at the light at Templeton on Dundas, they make an ungodly amount of noise when they’re braking and accelerating. The trailers rattle, the brakes often lock up and sometimes the loaded trucks can’t even get started again once they stop. This doesn’t even touch on the added diesel pollution those of us that live on Dundas or Powell st are subjected to. They need to be moved to Clark and commissioner. Having them plug up Dundas is ridiculous and unnecessary

From someone who's vehicle had been written off due to someone speeding trying to get to the Steele plant they are constantly flying through our neighborhood at brutal speeds please make this so they have to slow down, I've witnessed drivers purposely trying to hit the geese and their babies
Alicia supported: Speed Limit
I live near the Goulais Ave plant entrance. The speeds at which the employees and contractors leave that lot is dangerous. They treat Goulais like a drag strip. Someone is going to get hurt, or worse. It's bad enough that they took the traffic lights out. They could at least do something to calm the traffic coming out of the steel plant.
