This isn't any better than what happened to me. And to think that we, in the United States, are just brushing it under the rug as if it wasn't rape? It terrifies me, since that could actually happen to other forms of abuse, both sexual and otherwise. And the fact that the government is just covering their ears and pretending they can't hear is terrifying. That's why I'm signing. I don't want any more people to have to see their assaulter go out free and live their lives unpunished.

This is a petition to bring long awaited justice to a dear friend of mine who has experienced what no child should have to. He was a victim of sexual assault and rape from a teacher while a minor in school. This teacher has now advanced in her career and is a professor at a local university without having to answer to her crimes.
Teachers make such an impact on our children and have the responsibility to protect and nurture their young minds. We should not stand by and allow this type of perversion to occur in our schools.
