But what pisses me off more is the fact these men have not went to jail. They shouldnt have to write essays, they should have to eat prison food. the justice system needs so much fucking refining that it could take years to fix it.

To Jane Doe - I'm sure it's pretty weird hearing and seeing people talk about you and your situation. I'm also sure you're having good days here and there but inside there's still something that doesn't feel quite right, and I'd be lying if I said that one day that feeling will just... disappear. If you do by chance see this just know how many women see you, how many of us love you, and how much you'll always be supported. The way you were treated was not the standard and you deserved better. You deserve better because you matter. As you continue on this path of life I want you to carry the strength with you everywhere, and if you ever need to borrow some - be aware you always have a sister looking out for you.
Charlie supported: CORNELL ALUMNI SUPPORTING JANE DOEit’s been 10 years since the ‘me too’ movement and i ask what exactly has changed? university life for women and girls in particular is plagued with sexual violence. 1/5 women is likely to be sexually assaulted in college. at schools like Cornell the stat is something closer to 1/3. the fact that such insane numbers have been normalized and victims reduced to another story swept under the rug is unacceptable. institutions act like for profit corporations rather than protect their students. perpetrators are protected in this system and these schools don’t uphold the moral values they claim to strive by. accountability now. justice now. we are not asking politely anymore.

The natural reaction for a dog in pain is to bite out of fear and self defense. A shelter should know this and advocate for the animal but I suppose that's not the case in this instance. It's deeply unsettling that a shelter, an organization meant to protect animals, is pushing to euthanize a dog who isn't aggressive, and has a loving home with a dedicated owner waiting for him. Major has spent over 500 days in a shelter without his family. Think about the toll it takes on a dog to be seperated from everything he knows for that long. Their owners are their whole life, and they are only a part of ours. How could you deprive an owner of the time they have with their dog, AND to try and shorten that time when they are trying to negotiate terms to get their dog back. Even going as far to say they will muzzle him and even professional trainers are offering to help! The victim in this case has stated that they do not believe the dog should be euthanized for this incident. That alone should dismiss this entire case! What is the matter with you people, imagine not being able to see your own dog for over 500 days and being told to euthanize them. Shame on all of you.<br>

Growing up in Mississippi, we were taught to say “yes, ma’am,” “no, ma’am,” “yes, sir,” and “no, sir” as a sign of respect and survival. Yet even now, there is nothing equal about this justice system. Too many people still face unfair treatment, unequal opportunities, and judgment based on appearance and background.<br>

My skin is brown, and my roots are American. I believe in God, and I believe in justice, truth, and accountability. We need to come together with our allies to stand for what is right. This is bigger than a battle; it is a struggle for dignity, fairness, and real change.<br>

Our people have suffered deeply through violence, family separation, and the destruction of homes, churches, schools, and communities. Civil rights leaders and their allies sacrificed everything, and yet equality still feels out of reach. I pray that one day justice will come, and that evil will no longer have the final word.
John supported: Petition to Revoke Stacey Turner’s medical license.As a black woman living in the United States in the red state of Florida, there’s so much injustice and racism that has continued to plague our country. We should not have people in positions of power, for instance medical examiners or law enforcement that never gets true justice for Black people. Stacey is clearly withholding evidence regarding Nolan Wells autopsy. The throat the stomach and the lungs were removed. Why would you need to remove that and not keep it with the body for the private autopsy? This is a cover-up and we know it. We are no longer going to stay quiet this racism in our country has got to stop and we are gonna stand up for every black body who are victims of racism and injustice in this country.
