I do not want to live in a society that rewards rapists with NHL contracts. Acquitted does not mean innocent. The assault that took place that night will haunt EM for the rest of her life, it should follow Dube for the rest of his.
As a Gulf War veteran I was mortified when Harry let his wife march in front all the British veterans while wearing hot pants and flip flops when the team was entering with their flag during the games in Germany. This is just never done and was so disrespectful to the men she was marching with. I am very liberal and open to dissent so I am pretty tolerate of alot of things but for some reason this really hit a nerve. I sent the Invictus Foundation an email explaining this and offered to verify my service if needed. Never heard back from them and Harry's wife never apologized for her abhorrent behavior. All Harry does in whine about his need for taxpayer security. He put others at risk like the soldier body guards that accompanied him when he demanded to go to Afghanistan. Maybe find a veteran that honors the flag and puts others above self to lead Invictus.
I come from a military family. What he has done to The Invictus Games is shocking and disgraceful. The final straw for me was watching Meghan walk in front of the veterans last time with zero respect. He needs to go.
The veterans in the Invictis games should be celebrated and honored. My husband was in the Army, and my father in law and grandfather both were in WWII. These people are brave and served our countries to keep us all safe, and free. Having someone use these heroes for selfish gain is WRONG!!!.
I am the daughter of a USA Army veteran who was captured by the Germans in the Battle of the Bulge in the Ardennes during WWII. He was marched to at least six different stallogs, from Poland to Germany, after his capture. Once, he was told to load food boxes onto trucks being sent from the American Red Cross to feed the prisoners, which were then driven to rhe front line German troops while he, himself, was also starving. A buddy of his was shot dead for trying to hide some food in his pocket while loading the boxes. My father barely survived and seldom discussed his experiences after the war. He got a college degree & a wonderful job after the war, but no help from anyone with his trauma. He went back to school and earned his master's degree, but couldn't continue anymore. He just stopped working in his late forties, and my mother went back to work to support our family. Had he had something like Invictus to help him focus on through his grief and trauma that could have also alleviated his pain, he might have been able to walk me down the aisle at my wedding. He survived until he was 53, when he gave up and died in our home, three months before I got married.
I have been heartbroken for the lack of respect shown to the servicemen participating in the Invictus Games. They are heroes and are not being shown the respect they deserve for their service, due to all the negative turmoil constantly stirred up by the antics of the Sussex couple.

As someone who is world class at clock, I am directly affected by this decision. It is devastating to see my main event go, and I'm sure a lot of people feel the same way. I don't think that it makes sense to remove clock just because it is not a "spectator-friendly" event, or that it would go against the WCA's strategic plan. The vast majority of competitions are small local competitions with few spectators. Clock is the most beginner-friendly event in the WCA, so wouldn't removing it make the WCA less accessible? I appreciate the WCA for being open to add new events, but not at the cost of removing others. I think that this is a big mistake by the WCA, and I hope that this gets reverted soon.
As a proud Haitian, I can accept defeat when the better team wins. What I cannot accept is when the outcome of a World Cup match is overshadowed by controversial officiating.
Our players fought with heart, discipline, and pride. They deserved a fair opportunity to compete. When clear decisions appear to go against one team, it doesn’t just affect the score, it affects the integrity of the game and the dreams of an entire nation.
Haiti has overcome challenges far greater than football, and we will continue to stand behind our Grenadiers. We are not asking for favors. We are asking for fairness, accountability, and respect for the beautiful game.
The world watched what happened. We hope FIFA reviews the match with transparency so that every nation, regardless of its size, is treated equally.
🇭🇹 One nation. One people. One flag. Nou pap janm sispann kwè.
While I have never skated in my life, I have been doing marching band for almost eight years, and you learn to watch for the smallest of discrepancies in everything you do, from musical quality to your choreography. When watching the scoring and the errors made by the French pair, it was shocking to see that they got a better score than Chock and Bates. There were moments where they were out of sync and there were moments where one of them visibly stumbled and lost balance. It's clear that a heavy bias from the judges affected that final score, and I think it's important for the integrity of the Olympics that this be reviewed heavily. This isn't the first time it's happened and it's sad to see that this is a repeating problem.
