I benefit from swimming in CTB in Manly so I know how valuable a marine reserve is. Had the pleasure this morning of sighting two cuttlefish. It's so good for your wellbeing in a stressful life.
I love the ocean and I was excited to see the new show "Ocean" by David Attenborough. It was HARD to watch, but I'm so grateful for his work to help us understand the devastation going on through sea dredging!! I was sobbing with grief for the destruction of already struggling reefs and ecosystems and the waste of precious ocean life. We MUST save the oceans which will ultimately save ourselves. Balance must be achieved in all things. PLEASE HELP!
This has gone on for long enough please stop and protect Wamberal beach my family have lived in area for over 60 years and the beach like any beach naturally changes all the time with tides, big swell and weather patterns . The sand constantly comes in and out with the ocean. A Seawall is NOT the solution it will NOT work!! It will be dangerous and a huge Hazard!!
During my time working at BCF, I personally witnessed the overwhelming issue of excessive plastic waste. As I unpackaged YETI bottles and various other products, I was struck by the sheer volume of plastic used in packaging—it was truly alarming. The environmental impact of this unnecessary waste became painfully evident, and seeing it firsthand only reinforced my concern about the scale of the problem.
So when I came across this petition, I knew I had to take action. The issue of plastic pollution is too significant to ignore, and supporting initiatives that push for change is crucial. By signing this petition, I hope to contribute to a movement that advocates for more sustainable practices and a reduction in plastic waste.
All of this pollution and sewage being poured into our oceanic environment sickens me and hardens my heart to hear how much of that sewage and pollution is even going into the sea creature's bodies without them actually realizing it's poisoning them. I know and you know that you want your water to be safe for anything whether it's drinking for your thirst, washing dishes, washing your hands, taking baths or showers, swimming pools, but there's so many other uses of water but I don't need a full-on list to tell you how essential water can truly be.
