Marine Animals

You have hit & whacked me with sticks & wood. Although your actions seemed like protection, you've actually been hurting me which is not good.

You've electrocuted me with fences & driven into me with your land cruisers with attached bullbars.
Why can't you see you are hurting me, please stop this has gone too far.

You blocked my access & blasted my eardrums with horns.
I wasn't doing anything wrong; I was just relaxing & sleeping on the lawn?

I'm not your enemy & haven't caused any harm.
Tasmania is my home; the locals are my family & welcomed me with caring & loving arms.

Everyone please keep your distance I want to be wild & free.
If you don't respect the boundaries, they will honestly kill me.

I'm a national treasure; I'm family & your best friend.
Please love me from a distance, else my time will sadly & swiftly come to an end.

I love everyone, so please respect my space & just let me be.
If we all work together this will help protect me from harm & save me.

Euthanasia of Neil should not be Plan A. Plan A should be legal protections enforcing consequences for approaching or tampering with Neil, and round-the-clock guard during his visits.
Tasmania needs to do better for its "famous" animals - having been part of the rehabilitation team for a Rockhopper Penguin who became dangerously malnourished when people wouldn't leave her in privacy and safety, I know that this isn't a one-time or one-animal issue.
