I signed this petition because the cross-border pollution in Imperial Beach is a persistent issue that disrupts our ability to enjoy the natural beauty of our community. On multiple occasions, my family has had to change vacation plans and travel further north to avoid the pollution affecting our local beaches. It’s unfair that we live in an area blessed with such incredible natural features but cannot use and appreciate them due to ongoing contamination. By signing this petition, we can collectively push for actionable solutions that protect our beaches, environment, and the well-being of all who live and visit here. Let’s ensure Imperial Beach is a place we can all enjoy without concern.

Sir,
I visited the website seeking someone to speak with in regards to the tragic loss of the lake called Optimist Lake in Mobile, AL. I saw the project listed below with your contact information and wanted to reach out to you to gain knowledge on options for homeowners on the Lake and or Mobile County and of the City of Mobile.
I am attaching a pdf file for the historical information on Lake Optimist. I have sent this along with multiple files as support documents with a request to the County Commissioner district 3 - Comm. Dueitt for his help. I have been involved with the County Commission on several projects in the past and hope that my business relationship with the county will aid in my solution for the property surrounding the lake and the Wildlife at stake dying today and yesterday. The lake dam and concrete spillway caved in on Monday August 30, and the entire lake drained away and fish and wildlife parrished. It is a tragedy, Sir.
I work for the Dept of the AF, AFRC HQ,Civil Engineering Federal Facilities, as an Interior Designer Review Specialist, and am in hope, that a grant and or the USACE can assist with the rebuilding of the Dam and prevent the City and the County pollution of dumping runoff water from Commercial Development to this Lake. There has been much debate on the responsible party for the Lake's maintenance and or it's preservation, but no resolution has been fruitful.
No matter where the Lake started (early 1900's) or how the Dam was built and or patched, the Preservation of its wildlife is at stake, and it is heartbreaking. Please review my pdf file and watch the YOUTUBE videos. According to the Website, you reside in Mobile, AL and may know of this situation. Please feel free to contact me for further information in my efforts and plea for help in this matter.

I've been without clean drinking water plenty of times, and the well supplies good drinking water for these people who don't have any. To destroy this well just for a road expansion is morally ambiguous in my opinion.
Allow the people to keep their well. Destruction is not progress. It isn’t that costly to put a curve in a road around something that cannot be moved, especially when it will enrich the lives of the citizens. We paid for the road with our tax dollars don’t we, then can’t we have any say?
