$7.00 might now seem like much but to those on SS who get an average of $900.00 per month a $7.00 extra fee can mean the difference in buying Prescriptions and Paying rent. The Social security Adiminstration is giving each recipient a $40.00 Cost of Living increase in Jan 2012 -- $7.00 is about 18% of that raise.

Many of those affected are on SS AND do not like to drive to other banks and rely on Banks near their home and many don't have Credit Unions available to them.

You say you need a $500.00 minimum balance or a $100.00 Direct deposit to keep the account FREE ----- Most of US ON SS have $0.00 at the end of the month and DO NOT trust the Deposit system.

I'm writing to express my deep concern over Sun Trusts and Bank of America's decision to charge customers $7 a month to use their previous FREE Banking account IF you don't maintain a minimim balance

You paid zero dollars in federal income tax last year. And now your bank is profiting, raking in billions in profits last quarter alone. How can you justify squeezing another $84 a year from your customers? This is despicable.

American consumers can't afford these additional fees. We reject any claims by Sun TRUST that this latest fee is somehow necessary.
