Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is proposing an expansion to the state's Stand Your Ground law that would allow armed citizens to shoot and possibly kill anyone they suspect of rioting or looting. 

My life, my families nor the citizens of Florida’s lives should NOT be determined by some one else belief, feeling or ideologies??!!
I am a woman, daughter, wife and mother not a judge and I don’t want some random person judging me and mine.
We have laws to protect the accused however with this proposal, no one will be presumed innocent and anyone will lawfully be allowed to take a life. 
Governor, I should not have to worry that some random person can make the assumption that my immediate family (16 of us) are rioting or looting when we are simply walking or browsing the mall. 
We all, especially you, know who this law will affect. It is a racist law. 
It was supposedly based on the unrest this past year and this is your way of making sure business are not looted!!??? Your concern is business, not humans. 
You know that hateful people will use this law to kill innocent people, its happened here in Florida too many times. 
As humans we all perceive, hear, feel and think differently and to allow someone to use their feelings as validation to kill others is a travesty. 
It’s a vicious historical cycle and you are perpetuating it. 
Do Not Pass this law. 
This is my 2nd petition regarding the same issue. If you feel the need to have it removed again, be a man and call or come see me and explain why. Don’t hide behind the so called policies of change. Org because there was nothing hateful or violent in the original petition.
