They just let all their friends in whether they are veterans or not making it a public bar, then hide behind their nonprofit status. Was in there only once for a pool tournament and they definitely were over serving people drinks. Alot of them left before I did and they got into their cars stumbling out the door. Nobody will do anything until it's your family member is hurt or killed by these fools. Bad behavior for a "veterans" organization!

My wife and I tried to join the VFW in Georgetown, and was told because we are "black" we were not allowed despite my service of almost 30 years. When I made complaint, their leadership came to my home and harassed me. Then come to find out they bought a few black people's membership from the LCVG just to claim they had black members. This place has had a reputation of being a white post and will be something they live with years to come. No excuse for this behavior whatsoever.

Recently lost my husband to a service related illness. I went to the Georgetown VFW to get assistance and information about survivor benefits. The veterans officer just pushed me off to someone else. Less than helpful and disrespectful to veterans in Georgetown.

It's sad that we served our Great country and have to continue to fight for injustice regarding protections, provisions, and anything that can sustain or improve quality of life for Veterans. I propose that this petition adds the elimination and exclusion of the six month payments for VASP eligibility as well. Many Veterans modified loans or entered into protections of the moratorium and are automatically excluded from VASP. Why does VA add unjust stipulations for Veterans to obtain assistance?

We have lived here over 30 years, the hospital was there when my little girl wreaked her bike and got hurt pretty good. The emergency room and hospital was there to help her recover. They have spent millions building a new modern hospital, just to then tell us about the downgrade to a clinic. This is the second largest training installation in the Army, so it makes no sense especially when we are in a rural community without civilian medical facilities close by.

We can't lose this hospital. We already have to drive an hour and half for 80% of our referred care, the number of providers that take our insurance dwindles by the day, and it's flat out dangerous for us to have the nearest ER over 30 minutes away. We don't even have a walk in clinic nearby that takes our insurance. Without this hospital, you may as well shut down the base. Your DSs will spend more time off of the installation than with the trainees they're supposed to be with.

My husband is a veteran and his local VA Clinic does not offer all the procedures sometimes necessary we must travel an hour and a half away to a VA Hospital. As we age this is becoming more difficult. (Eye sight isn’t what it use to be). Therefore, we have had to spend more money on an Advanced Plan for him in case of an emergency so he can be seen by medical professionals in our own area. Please help your state’s veterans! Thank you for your attention to our veterans.

As the wife and mother of Veterans, I find this totally unacceptable. The old hospital NEEDS to be replaced with the new hospital they've been building, not some little clinic! Have you ever driven in Missouri in the winter??? Or at all?? People shouldn't have to drive for hours to get to a hospital when they may only have minutes to live, and our Veterans damn well deserve better! You've put so much money into building the new hospital that you KNOW they need, it makes no sense at all to stop and change it now. Whatever your issue is, fix it - and finish the new hospital!
