SEPTA is important for transit. Whether it's to see the Eagles crush a team, a Dr appointment, or going out to dinner, a lot of people depend on this to get where they're going. Many people do not have cars. How are they supposed to contribute to the economy if they can't go very far from their home?
SEPTA is a crucial system in the Philadelphia area. It helps people get to jobs, doctor’s appointments, and special events. I take SEPTA to get to and from center city to avoid driving and paying the expensive parking fees. With a 9 PM curfew, I won’t have the option to get home via SEPTA if I’m downtown late night.
Also, people who can’t afford Uber and Lyft won’t have the option to take SEPTA late nights after coming home from working second shift jobs.
S. O. S. Save Our SEPTA!
My husband is an airline pilot and he, as well as every person in the air, deserves the best safeguards during flight. Our nation needs to be strong and safe in all of our transit choices. We cannot go backwards. Please provide the funds to increase safety, professionalism, and modernity to Newark Air port, as well as the FAA in general.
We LOVE flying into and out of Bellingham on Southwest Airlines! We travel from Las Vegas to Bellingham 4-6 times a year to visit grandkids. They fly to see us 2-3 times per year, especially during the fall and winter months. It has become quite challenging to visit without Southwest as there are no great options. Please, please, please resume your flights to BLI!
I weigh 275 pounds and I can't fit in my seat. It's the airlines' responsibility that they don't take my needs into account. I'm glad somebody is finally holding an industry to account that competes in the market based primarily on total fuel spent to move tonnage. Additionally, they used to provide more snacks and meals. I've been on several flights lately where they didn't even offer drink service. No soda, smaller bags of peanuts, and seats I can't fit into. This is dehumanizing.
As someone, who once weighed over 220 lbs, I will not keep quiet; about discrimination towards larger people. Or look the other way, when fat shaming occurs.
Just today I watched a young girl be discriminated against one boarding agent told her not to come back through and the other sent her back. The supervisor then started nagging the young girl and trying to find anyway to prevent her from going with her flight. The young girl held it together pretty well other then she was in tears. This lady was the supervisor and even the other boarding agent was obviously ashamed of her supervisor’s behaviors you could tell she was scared to speak up. There needs to be a set guideline for all airlines. I have seen a few with some very shady behavior.
