This (and a 20mph speed limit) should have been implemented in 2011 after Eleanor was hit by a car while wearing head to toe hi-viz. Beach Road has many vulnerable pedestrians eg nursery school kids, local primary school kids and vulnerable adults. Absolute no-brainer to do this.

We were lied to ! Miller homes were specifically asked about future developments on the land opposite and we were told by site managers and sales managers that there would be no further development as it’s “not allowed further than the village boundary signage “ we spent our life savings on this house based on that knowledge just 2 years ago When in fact millers must have know about this years ago as they had councils meets about it way Back then .my solicitors also told me through paid searches etc when I distinctly asked them about this .this will cause havoc on the dangerous and road situation here and there are no more school or doctors place and we still can’t get a dentist here after 2 years . It will also devalue our properties . Housing is needed where there is sustainable infrastructure and there is not here ! There is not even a bus on Sundays or Saturday nights in and out of the village .our kids have zero travel freedom on Sundays due to the lack of public transport . I support more housing even here in desford but without the services to support this will be a terrible or idea .

All the fields and adjacent Sandridgebury Lane flood annually. To this extent, the road has to close for days at a time. Building houses here is only going to make the flooding worse. I for one, would not want to spent a significant amount of money buying a house on a flood plain, and watching as my house floods 4-5 times as year. Whilst I appreciate, the local primary schools could cope with an influx of new pupils from these houses. St Albans just does not have the Secondary School capacity. Coupled with another huge development planned along St Albans Road in Sandridge and a mile away at Sandpit Lane. Secondary School places are difficult enough to secure as it is. Where are all the children supposed to go to school once they reach secondary age? I object to this development on Green Belt Land. St Albans is still adjusting to Oaklands Grange. We do not need more housing developments. We need our green spaces.

I live close to the area and regulary visit hertswood forest. The roads are far too busy for the city to cope with as it is and schools overburdened with pupils on "other" new estates in St albans. The city simply cannot take much more development. I've been here for 20+ years and seen a real decline in happiness of local residents over those years not solely but at least partially due to overdevelopment and it's effect on community.

Cycling from the new estate served by Brooklands Road to the Little Common roundabout to the east (bringing safe access to the national coastal cycle route) is hazardous with impatient drivers cutting close. This is a call for a safe cycling route, please!!!
Andy supported: Implement Urgent Road Safety Review - A259 Barnhorn Road & Marsh Road
I use this route regularly and it's dangerous. It is a very busy and fast road and visibility is poor when turning in or out of East Hampstead Road
Janet supported: Urgent action to improve the junction of Old Wokingham Road and Easthampstead Road
If it hadn't been for quick thinking on my part and good brakes on my car I would have been involved in a multi-car accident on this junction a few months ago. A large people carrier type vehicle pulled out of this junction turning right just as I was driving passed in steady traffic. They obviously hadn't even looked for oncoming traffic. I am so glad that the vehicles behind me had not been driving too closely behind also. The hardest emergency brake I have ever had to make. You really need to do something with this junction.

I had a nasty accident at this junction & feel it needs improving as line of sight is so bad. It's been improved by removing the large tree but cars travel so fast that I feel drastic action is needed to prevent a serious accident.

20 years driving, 1 accident and it was this junction. It was when the tree was on the left so couldn’t see a thing on a dark wet night. Tree went soon after. I avoid junction when travelling along Easthampstead Rd and go via Holme Grange instead

My husband was driving his tanker and needlessly lost his life on Christmas Eve on this dangerous Road, For God's sake sort this road out or even more will suffer the pain I'm now going through of losing my precious husband and soulmate .My world is shattered and will never be the same again.
