Petition at Croydon Council Wednesday 21st October 2026

Dear supporters,
Please gather Wednesday 21st October 2026, at 6pm for a 6:15pm photo call outside Croydon Town Hall, Katharine Street, Croydon CR0 1NX, if you wish to show your support for road safety cycle training and Bikeability in Croydon, which has had its funding cut by about half, due to no top up funding applied for since 2025, which is resulting in a patchy, skeleton service.
Would be great to show a presence to represent strength of feeling for road safety cycle training being reinstated as a full service in Croydon.
Also to request that Croydon council show support for Bikeability road safety cycling being added to the curriculum, just like swimming.
You are welcome to also attend the full council meeting, which commences at 6:30pm at the Croydon Council Chamber, Town Hall at the address above. Road safety cycle training will be discussed in item 7 of the agenda, presented by Councillor Ria Patel and Maeve Tomlinson who is a cycling instructor, who has worked in Croydon since 2014. Details on the Croydon Council website.
Your support is welcomed and we very much hope to see you there to raise road safety cycling up the agenda.
