Road safety is a critical issue that affects communities worldwide. With the rise in traffic accidents and fatalities, the need for improved safety measures on roads has become more pressing than ever. Petitions on this topic aim to address key issues such as advocating for better infrastructure, implementing stricter traffic laws, and promoting driver education.
Notable petitions include one calling for increased pedestrian safety measures in urban areas, highlighting the dangers faced by vulnerable road users. Another petition focuses on reducing speeding by enforcing speed limits through technology, emphasizing the role of technology in preventing accidents.
By engaging with these petitions, individuals can contribute to creating safer roads for all. Join the movement to support road safety initiatives and help save lives on the roads. Your involvement can make a significant impact in promoting a safer environment for drivers, pedestrians, and cyclists alike.
I’m one of the accident victims of the railroad crossing. The hill is treacherous when the roads are icy. Please fix this, I totaled a vehicle due to this road!
Been driving since I was 16 now 63 and had my first accident leaving work. Now I go down the street to Scarpelli's or church and turn around due to PSTD from my accident there. I live in Rawlings so to be safe I turn around and go home to be safe. Coworker also totalled her car there. Downtown renovation multi million but can't put a light to save lives. We need to be able to have a say in where our tax dollars go.
I have been around elderly drivers on the road and it's a hazard for them to be out now more than ever that there are reckless drivers every where. It's scary to think they could get yelled at or crashed into because the drivers not paying attention or the elderly driver no longer has quick reflexes.
There are a couple million noisy spaces in the region. There is one that is quiet. Noise is not obligated to devour everything. It is the quiet one that takes me to Isanti County. I am always sensitive to the "last person" moving to the quiet edge--then wanting everyone else to stay away. That is not reality. But all owners ought be able to depend on the planning/zoning under which they became owners.
In my city, rental venues are very problematic. Every event is different, with different clientele, run by different renters--often attracting a crowd that has staying in-bounds as the last thing on their mind. Even when tightly enforced--even the amount of enforcement activity can be disruptive to calm.
I was gifted a stay at Pacem in Terris by a very dear friend who knew I was in a place of needing quiet rest in God's presence. Pacem in Terris provided me much solace and spiritual reflection in the midst of a very strenuous time of adversity. I am so grateful for the experience and the kindness that was shown by the staff. Please come experience the solitude for yourself so that you know what it's like and to not grant a conditional use for this venue. Thank you
Pacem is a place of peace, silence, and rest that has been a gift to me and many others! It’s important to protect the silence so that it can continue to be a haven for people.
I feel the added noise and traffic would significantly take away from the quiet tranquility of Pacem in terrace. This is a sacred place and quiet is a must. I hope you will consider the negative impact that this new venue would cause to them. Please consider a different location for the wedding venue.
It would be very sad to see you approve one business at the expense of another. I was blessed to spend some time at Pacem. The best part about it was the peace and tranquility found as you walk around the grounds. Please know that your decision will likely. Either save Pacem or eventually close it down. The noise coming from the wedding venue would rob future Pacem of the very element they seek - to meet God in the silence.
