My brother was very sick in elementary school and passed when he was 11 years old. Going to school was hard for him… Mr Mark’s kindness and goofy personality made a huge difference. My brother always enjoyed music class and his time with Mr Mark. Mr Mark’s kindness towards my family will never be forgotten. This is a huge loss for the SFX community. This is also another failure and mistake of the archdiocese to add to their very long list of failures and mistakes. Shame on them
My family and I came to the USA as Jewish refugees. We love our country and don't want to be afraid of being Jews. The agenda of Zohran Mamdani contains the threat to our existence and safety.
It is abhorrent what this man has done to our states education standards. He deserves life in prison but we will have to settle for removal from office
Forcing the Bible on children and teachers who may not subscribe to that faith in public schools is morally corrupt and inherently wrong, vile, and evil.
As a student, and believer of Christ. I find this hard to approve. The word of God should be shared, and spread across to neighbours graciously. Not forced upon; that thought has never once crossed my mind. Religion is a choice and a style of life. Ryan Walters should not be in office if that means seeing my peers who are nonreligious, or any other religion who do not follow the same scriptures as us be handed the Bible as if it was homework. It is disrespectful and shouldn't be required. As much as I love the Lord, I also love the comfortability of others around me.
I’m am appalled at Ryan Walter’s ignorant decision to enforce this in Oklahoma classrooms. Back in 2013, I attended a Catholic high school and in my senior year religion class, they even made it a point to explore the other religions of the world and we even took field trips to different temples and mosques. That is how to properly teach religious history. And it needs to be an elective! No one should have religious beliefs forced upon them!
Ryan Walters is actively destroying the Oklahoma education system. He has neither the education or the integrity necessary to be in the office he holds. He has misappropriated public funds, he has punished teachers for disagreeing with him politically, he has made horrible comments about students, calling them "filth." That is *never* appropriate, I don't care what opinions there are on LGBTQ topics, attacking *children* is not okay. Walters MUST GO.
I care because disrespect toward a cancer patient is harmful and unacceptable. As a cancer survivor, I understand how critical compassion and support are, and allowing that kind of behavior undermines the safe, supportive environment every patient and survivor deserves.
