I fully support this petition because no one deserves to be bullied, harassed, or threatened online. The behavior that has been displayed toward members of the Haitian community, women, and individuals in the LGBT community is unacceptable. Using a platform to spread hate, make threats, or cause emotional harm to others — including artists like Marc D and many others — should not be normalized.
Freedom of speech does not mean freedom to intimidate or traumatize people. Social media platforms like TikTok and Instagram should be spaces where people feel safe to express themselves without fear of harassment.
Accountability matters. Respect matters. Our communities deserve better.
My people in Rojava are facing extermination simply because they are Kurdish. We are under threat, under attack, and abandoned, while the world watches in silence. Tell us, what is our crime? What did we do to deserve this? Why is the entire world silent while my people are being erased?
The Kurdish people of Rojava stood against ISIS when the world was frozen in fear of terrorism. While others hid, Kurds fought. More than 15,000 Kurdish martyrs gave their lives to protect humanity and defeat ISIS. Their sacrifice was not only for Kurdistan, but for the safety of the entire world.
And now we ask: how can the world, and especially the United States, abandon Kurdish forces who proved their loyalty and courage, and instead tolerate or empower figures linked to terrorism in the past? How can a former terrorist be trusted to fight terrorism? This is not justice. This is not logic. This is betrayal.
Rojava is being destroyed, and the world is silent. Even media outlets spread lies, distort the truth, and hide the suffering of the Kurdish people. This silence is complicity.
We do not want terrorists in our Kurdish regions. We do not accept those who have brought death and destruction to our people. Our children, our women, and our civilians deserve protection, not abandonment.
Save the children of Rojava.
Protect the innocent.
Where are human rights? Where is justice?
