I had been a tenant under SHA for many years. I can honestly say that I have never dealt with the level of mistreatment and utter disregard of property issues and or complaints...please get justice at least for current tenants, as I have been evicted, yet living in less than accommodating conditions for quite some time.
As a former Brevard County LEO I've worked alongside the members of BCFR many times. They are extremely underpaid and do not make enough to support their family's. A firefighter/emt should not need 2 roommates to just barely pay rent. Let's support them and force Brevard County to give BCFR a bigger budget in regard to salary
Iv been a Brevard County resident for 34 years. We need better for our first responders. It is crazy to have the men and women struggling financially and being left behind in today's competitive pay markets. The county can do better and needs to act quickly before we have bigger problem than under payed employees and being understaffed. Brevard County residents stand with the Firefighters.
In 2010 my house burned down in mims & unfortunately my little brother perished in. The support from the first responders my family had was incredible whilst dealing with their own grief. These guys DESERVE to be paid a fair wage when they’re walking hero’s , the same hero’s that risked their life & limbs to save my baby brother. We the people demand change in brevard county! Thank you too all first responders for your service & dedication 🇺🇸
We need these people in our lives. They deserve to get paid for their time and hard work that they put into their careers. You can’t put a price on saving lives. It could be yours loved ones that they can’t make it to because they don’t have enough workers to fill the shift.
My heart goes out to all of our first responders that are fighting this battle. I feel that often as busy, hard working individuals already running on a tight time frame, we don't stop and put the necessary time and thoughts into what's really going on here. Our fire fighters, emt, officers and many others put their life's at risk every single day. When they walk out their door kissing their loved ones goodbye, there is a high possibility that could be their last. As well as, the things they see, hear and encounter daily, often leave a long lasting impact on them. Which will eventually lead to the need for further help. These people deserve higher pay than our youngsters flipping pizzas and burgers with friends for fun. I'm by no means knocking the work the teenagers or even adults are doing, hell I give props to any and all willing to work. But, the fact that our life saving community responders are out fighting for nothing more that the ability to make ends meet, the funds to provide for their families and give their children the same opportunities that the guy or gal working a gas station or retail job give theirs. Ask yourself this....Just where would we ALL be without them? Sacry thought isn't it? Please let's come together as a community and fight this fight with them!!!!!
Pay the men and women sacrificing their minds and bodies the wage they deserve! They dedicate their lives to protect us, the least we can do is pay them a livable wage and not force them to have to find work elsewhere to feed their families. DO BETTER BREVARD LEADERSHIP YOU ARE FAILING US AND OUR PROTECTORS!
I’ve been with Brevard County Fire Rescue for 13 years. It’s sad the contract the BOCC offered, I’d make more money if I demoted. Even worse I can start over at other Departments and make more than I would now. I love BCFR and the people that work there. It’s hard to watch so many good ones go as we scrape the bottom of the barrel to fill seats.
