Besides the EIS and LLS being mission critical to the health and security of our nation, I have a personal interest. My granddaughter was accepted into the EIS program last October and received her PhD on Feb. 13th only to find out that the EIS Program was shut down the next day. Not only disappointing but this was her dream job and a passion of hers for the past 7 years. The way the administration is going about reducing the federal budget in not only inhumane, it is insane!
I don't want to see vital jobs, research and public guidance disappear because of the personal politics of loyalists to Trump being given roles in this administration. That is not keeping best interest of the public in mind. Dismantling the CDC is really dangerous for everyone
As an ICU RN in a Level 1 Trauma Center, I’m worried about how tearing down these important programs will further overwhelm our already overtaxed healthcare system. We cannot afford another pandemic like COVID-19 or multiple uncontrolled epidemics.
