The misuse of funds is a pressing issue globally, with petitions on Change.org highlighting various instances of financial misconduct and corruption. These petitions shed light on government officials, organizations, and individuals who have misappropriated funds meant for public welfare or charitable purposes. Key issues include calls for transparency in financial transactions, accountability for those responsible for misusing funds, and advocating for stricter regulations to prevent future occurrences.
One notable petition with thousands of signatures exposes a government official embezzling funds designated for education, resulting in the closure of schools and denying children access to quality education. Another petition demands an investigation into a charity organization accused of misusing donations meant for disaster relief efforts.
By supporting these petitions, individuals can contribute to the fight against financial misconduct and ensure that funds are used responsibly for the betterment of society. Join the movement and help hold those accountable for their actions.

We need a fair and impartial merit-based selection exam. The test should be conducted on the same day using the same paper for all candidates. We call for the publication of exam results. Currently, the use of different test papers and the lack of result transparency are extremely unfair to candidates who have studied diligently.
My child has benefited from the gift program offered in the public school system. We believe it’s important to keeping this pathway fair and accessible. This kind of failure need to be investigated to avoid any future incidents and the kids and families who experienced this Chaos will need to be supported further.
We need fully comprehensive public schools, so that gifted children have pathways from local schools rather than need to travel hours to receive education they deserve. Selective exam has lost the purpose it was originally brought in and now it has turned to an exam which only a tutored child can achieve due to FOMO from parents as well. Best education should be possible from local public school for children of middle classs working people like us also, who can't afford for private school fees.
We need more transparency in how selective and opportunity class exams are being managed. It is clear that the recent exams were not managed in any way and require a deep look at whether computer based testing and outsourcing the process was the right answer. We have not observed such level of mismanagement for other areas such as NAPLAN, which was executed far better and with a much larger cohort. As a parent who's children will be going through this process next year, I am deeply concerned as to the integrity of the process for gifted children if there isn't trust the process is fair (e.g. there will not be variability in things like computers failing on the day, added stress, anxiety and emotions in the kids who are already going through a lot in the lead up to the big day, etc).
The whole event was a big debacle! Kids who faced the test did in extreme stressful conditions. Faced so many technical issues. Those who couldn’t sit yet are stressed, confused and overwhelmed. Some kids are losing focus and motivation. There was no need to go CBT in my opinion. Bring the paper and pen back. But if CBT is what DOE wants to do, do it more efficiently. All kids should have equal and fair opportunity. Keep the well being of kids on top!
Subject: Concern Regarding the Selective School Test Held on May 17 by held Education Department
I hope this message finds you well.
I am writing to express my sincere concern regarding the recent Selective School test administered on May 17, held by the Department of Education.
It has come to our attention that there may have been a serious issue with the integrity of the exam. It is being reported that students who took the test at Randwick on May 3 encountered identical questions and answers during the May 17 retest. If this is accurate, it raises significant concerns about fairness and the proper handling of the test materials.
I respectfully urge the Department to thoroughly investigate this matter, especially any possible duplication or leakage of test questions, and take appropriate measures to ensure such incidents do not happen in the future.
As a parent, I find it deeply disappointing and disheartening that such a situation may have affected students who worked hard to prepare for this opportunity. I sincerely hope that any innocent students are not unfairly disadvantaged due to this issue.
Thank you for your attention to this matter, and I trust that the Department will act with transparency and diligence in resolving it.
Yours faithfully,
Eun ju lee
It's an old archaic system which needs a huge overhaul. It's severely underfunded and it's a case of sink or swim for the kids that need extra support. And most definitely the neurodiverse children. The classrooms are overcrowded, the Educational Support systems for the kids are understaffed and too many children are falling through the gaps so it's no surprise that there often end up being behavioural issues at school, kids feeling they are stupid and not capable. It is a law that children attend school, but what really needs to be looked at is that they are actually getting the supports they need so the do indeed get an education. School Refusal/Can't is at record highs. Australia has the highest rate in the world of bullying at schools. What's actually happening to address all these issues. Scandinavian countries are vastly superior in their teaching methods, and it's not reliant on your postcode. Early intervention to support that child to flourish is quickly implemented. The system is failing, a good eduction should not be for the wealthy only.
I strongly support this petition. As a parent of school-aged children, I’m deeply concerned about the ongoing mismanagement in the NSW public education system. Our schools should be governed with transparency, accountability, and fairness. A Royal Commission is a vital step to restore public trust, ensure taxpayer funds are used effectively, and guarantee that all children, regardless of background, have access to safe, well-resourced, and high-quality education.
