I own n property in unincorperated Polk county. I currently live in a park because I can't live on my own land in my rv. What is the difference from me living in an rv in a park or on my own n land. It can't be a safety issue because it's the same rv no matter where I park it and live. As long as it's maintained blocked and anchored properly the county should have no issue with it. The state of Florida allows you to live in an rv as long as you have running water electeic, proper sewage disposal/connection, what gives the local government the right to say no when the state says yes. I can see, maybe if your inna non rual area and it depreciates the value of your neighbors homes, but thats not the case in unicorperated rural areas. Please let's get this overturned.
As a resident of Richmond and part of a family that's lived here for decades, I would like to make it known that we do not agree with the decisions this city's leadership has made in regards to the well being of the people in this city. A man may say he values family and good will, but decide to violate our unalienable human rights. We can't ignore harmful actions in favor of empty words. We deserve to be heard. We will defend our rights.
Decent, affordable housing in Richmond is very scarce. Displacing homeless instead of offering assistance is not a solution, neither is supporting slum lords who's properties aren't fit for animals to live in. Let's work toward solutions instead of punishing them for being poor.
