As a former dog owner myself, watching this happen made me sick to my stomach. The dog owner calmly explained her dog was dying and needed help immediately, and in exchange, was shown unnecessary force, and crude language by Officer Holly Hunter Romero, whom you can hear very clearly saying she doesn't care about the dog or the truly scary situation the dog and owners are in. Officer Holly Hunter Romero could have easily heard the explanation, seen the dog in the passenger's arms and could've offered an escort to the dog's vet, as you can hear them stating they ended up at the wrong veterinary clinic. This breaks my heart for that poor dog owner, who was seeking emergency help, and was met with very unnecessary brutality, force and language from an officer, who could have helped them get to the right vet, before issuing a ticket or an arrest. The police department that employed Officer Holly Hunter Romero, and gave her a badge should be absolutely disgusted by this behavior and cruelty displayed by Officer Holly Hunter Romeo, and should feel extremely compelled to give Holly Hunter Romeo serious consequences for her atrocious and hateful actions, that have been shown very clearly for the whole world to see, and be disgusted by.

Someone's adoring dog is dying and leading the owner to panic. Instead of the cop trying to deescalate the situation or even aiding the desperate citizen, she is arguing without even hearing the mourning person's reasoning. Holly Hunter Romero did NOT display aspects of protecting and serving when she was shoving around and screaming at a woman whos dog was actively DYING over a traffic violation. The officer also told this distressed woman who did everything to make her drive safe yet quick (for life saving purposes) that she did not care that her dog was dying. That’s disgusting. That’s inhumane. “Officer” Holly Hunter Romero does not deserve her job and many of the other things she has been blessed with.
