To everyone who has signed, shared, and stood with me during this painful journey — I want to take a moment to update you on what has been happening behind the scenes in the fight for Justice for Shawn Lee Fortune.

First, I want to acknowledge something many of you noticed: the updates slowed down for a while. That was not because this fight stopped. It was because I encountered severe harassment and interference across several social media platforms. These disruptions made it harder to communicate consistently with supporters and people who genuinely care about justice for my son.

Instead of giving up, I took action.

Because my platforms have been compromised, I have also started a second petition addressing the harassment and suppression surrounding this case. If you believe in transparency and the right for families to speak about what happened to their loved ones, please consider signing that petition as well. Stop Organized Harassment On Social Media Platforms

It will help bring visibility back to this fight and reconnect us with the people who truly want answers for Shawn.

While things may have appeared quiet publicly, the work has not stopped. Behind the scenes I have been submitting requests, reviewing records, and carefully analyzing every document being released.

And now, documents are finally coming in.

These records are being released in what is called a rolling production, meaning more evidence is being provided in stages. With every new document, we are able to build a clearer timeline of what happened to Shawn during the short time he was at the Pittsburgh Job Corps Center.

What we have uncovered so far raises serious questions.

According to the records:

• Shawn arrived at the Pittsburgh Job Corps Center on February 24, 2025.

• Within roughly 48 hours, he was dead.

During this short period, several important documents were created.

One intake drug screening performed when Shawn arrived reportedly showed methamphetamine present but no fentanyl detected nor amphetamine. (Methamphetamine metabolizes into amphetamine and normally that would flag an additional test for confirmation.) However, the later forensic toxicology performed after his death reported fentanyl and fentanyl-related compounds in his system, along with other substances.

This difference in testing results raises important questions about timeline, exposure, and what happened during those final hours.

Additional documents show that when Shawn arrived, staff documented that he had brought prescription medications with him. According to the records, those medications were confiscated and disposed of because they were considered expired.

However, the same documentation also states that a tablet was provided to him to take back to the dorm and that he should return later for additional medication.

In most supervised residential programs, medications are normally administered under direct observation by medical staff, not sent with a student to be taken later outside of the clinic.

This inconsistency raises questions about medication handling procedures and supervision especially when they are trying to put the responsibilityof his drowsiness on him. Remember in earlier reports the intake advisor told him he had to take his meds at night not during the day when i called and he was nodding off on the phone. They even sent a note home saying the same thing.  In the evidence there's documents of a medication log that notes which meds are to be taken am and pm time which they administer to him.

Other records show that Shawn was referred for additional evaluation after reporting symptoms such as anxiety, low energy, or distress during intake. Yet the documentation we have seen so far does not clearly show that a full evaluation or follow-up occurred before the incident that took his life.

We have also obtained official Job Corps policies that outline how staff are required to handle:

• drug testing procedures

• drug and alcohol intervention programs

• confiscated items and evidence

• incident reporting

• student deaths

These policies are important because they establish what staff were required to do under official procedures.

Now, as we compare these policies with the records that have been released, we are carefully examining whether those procedures were followed.

More documents are still coming.

This process takes time, but every file helps fill in another piece of the puzzle.

As the evidence continues to arrive, we will continue reviewing it carefully and sharing updates with you. Please keep watching for new developments as we continue building the timeline and seeking the truth.

The fight for justice for Shawn is far from over.

My daughter — Shawn’s sister — and I are still standing. We are still pushing forward. We are still asking the hard questions.

Shawn was not just a name in a report.

He was a son.

He was a brother.

He was loved.

And we will not stop until we have the truth.

If you believe in accountability, transparency, and justice:

• Sign the petition if you have not already.

• Share Shawn’s story.

• Sign the additional petition to help restore visibility and protect this movement.

• Stay tuned for further updates as more evidence is released.

The fire for justice for Shawn Lee Fortune is still burning — and together we will keep it alive.
