I was 14 when first medicated for mild mood changes with my menstrual cycle. 20 years later and 26 psychiatric drugs later, I am disabled and have lost everything. Medicating children is CRIMINAL.

We Need Netting on the I-95 Bridge — Before More Lives Are Lost Portsmouth is seeing a rash of suicides, and it's time we act or just continue to let people die. Installing netting or higher fencing on the I-95 bridge is a simple, life-saving step we can take now. On January 31, 2025, I went to Portsmouth Hospital begging for help. Instead, I left more broken—pushed to that bridge my physical disabilities is the only reason I am still here. I couldn't get one of my legs over but I would have been able to if that leg was better. Couldn't risk waiting around on the bridge to be forced back to the place that has harmed me so much As a brain injury survivor, burn survivor, survivor of multiple rapes since the age of 12... ya i have C-PTSD, ADHD, and chronic health issues but i am resilient. I like so many have learned asking for help is not safe I’ve been retraumatized by the very people meant to help. I’ve witnessed abuse in emergency rooms and experienced it myself. It’s horrifying. To every healthcare worker struggling with PTSD: please for the love of God get help!!! Untreated trauma doesn’t just hurt you—it hurts your patients. I’m living proof, just barely Cant believe I had to write a disabilities accommodation letter that basically says hey could you not judge me by my disabilities & maybe be kind? That's not ok! We all deserve compassion, safety, and change. Until then, we need barriers on that bridge and we need to speak the truth—even when it's uncomfortable. #SpeakUpForSurvivors #MentalHealthMatters #StopTheHate

A family friend jumped and died from this bridge 2 weeks ago. His second attempt as he tried in Oct from this very bridge. Mental health is reckoning and even though he battled voices and was being treated (several years of constant psychiatric help), it was too much. And for him, it was the fastest way to end the misery. That being said, it affects people who drive by and have to witness it, kids who are in passing and wondering why. People who are going high speeds and swerve while watching, this could all be dangerous. And the constant worry for some if they just stopped would it have made a difference. Maybe we can end any of the doubt.

I have known Tasha, for years. Since I have known her I have seen her change in numerous ways!! What I admire about Tasha is her motivation. She recently received her High School Diploma , and even motivated me to get mine. I officially have my diploma with the help of a motivating friend. I myself have made mistakes in my teenager years. I know first hand we do things we regret. Once you have children you want to do better and become a good role model for your babies! Tasha is trying her best to overcome all obstacles. This is one obstacle she cannot get through without the help of people who know her full potential and the ones who will make the decision! I believe in second chances and genuinely agree with Tasha gets one !

We need to do more for the homeless than to make it a law they can't sleep outdoor. Build small homes were they can get out of the elements. Other cities have. Animal are treated better than the homeless.
