Update 19: Men's Mental Health Needs More Than Lip Service

Men's mental health needs more than slogans, “thoughts and prayers.” Perez Hilton remains hospitalised after a mental health crisis. Troubling accounts from families of sailors aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln: multiple sailors attempted to go overboard. These situations are different, but they share an important lesson: We need to take men's mental health seriously. Men should be able to ask for help without being treated as weak. When someone is in crisis, the response should focus on safety, treatment, recovery, and dignity—not shame or punishment.
