As a fanfic writer and proud reader, fanfiction has changed my life for the better. Don’t let ai scrape our works so someone can make meaningless slop.

First and foremost, art is a profound reflection of the human experience. From the earliest cave paintings to contemporary installations, art captures our emotions, struggles, and triumphs. It tells our stories—stories of love, loss, joy, and resilience & it would be great to have one in the valley especially Kerman

I’ve watched too many artist spaces in LA disappear, replaced by corporate developments and overpriced lofts that push out the very people who make this city inspiring. Honey Hill isn’t just a place—it’s a rare, thriving creative community in a city that’s losing them fast. If we let spaces like this go, we aren’t just losing buildings; we’re losing the culture, the soul, and the energy that made LA what it is. We have enough offices and luxury apartments. What we need is to protect the artists who give this city its heart.

This was my home for a little over 2 years, and I can attest to its magic. The beautiful souls who I lived with changed my life, and I would be devastated for the artists who currently reside there to have to leave the sanctuary we all worked so hard to build.

Having the path people started available to them makes more sense than pulling the rug out from under them. I can understand that the choice would be between ending the program, as it was, abruptly and changing the major for new students as they enroll. It makes sense that trying to keep track of that would be difficult and come with its own unfairness, but between the two options, I believe allowing students to continue the degree they enrolled in is the better option. There is a significant amount of consideration that goes into selecting your degree, so to change the pathway someone chose out from under them is not fair. It discards a huge amount of work and consideration on the part of every student that started this pathway. Please reconsider.

It is ridiculous that you would allow students to sign up for a 3D curriculum and then yank the rug out from underneath them and pivot them to just 2D. Some people do not have the passion nor unfortunately the drawing skills to accomplish a 2D pathway like they would a 3D pathway. I am a scad alumni and where some of my friends and classmates lacked in 2D they absolutely succeeded in 3D and it was a gateway into their passion that they couldn't accomplish or even hope to break into with 2D. Student should be allowed to continue the curriculum that they signed up for instead of wasting their money on a curriculum that does not suit them or a career that they chose.

To entire reason I chose KSU for animation was because it was said to offer both 2D and 3D animation courses. In our age of technology, use of 3D is becoming integral to any production, and removing it is only doing a disservice to the students trying to enter that field.
