De-Flock Kentucky and Stop Invasive Data Centers

De-Flock Kentucky and Stop Invasive Data Centers
The Issue
In recent times, I have observed Flock cameras being installed in various locations around my region here in Kentucky. It has come to my attention that these cameras, which installations are often funded by taxpayer dollars, serve no apparent purpose for our local governments. Instead, they are controlled by a private security firm named Palantir. This firm not only employs artificial intelligence to track citizens but also holds a contract with the US military, raising significant concerns about civil liberties and privacy.
Flock cameras, together with data centers, are tools being utilized to monitor and potentially track citizens who may not align with the agenda of Palantir or any associated entities. This clandestine surveillance is not just unsettling but stands as a stark violation of our constitutional rights to privacy. The citizens of Kentucky, and all across America, deserve transparency and respect for their personal privacy. Flock cameras have reportedly already been used to monitor or stalk certain individuals.
Data centers that support these invasive technologies further compound the issue by providing the infrastructure needed for this unauthorized monitoring. Allowing the construction or completion of these data centers in Kentucky is not just a breach of trust but an enabler of unwarranted surveillance. On top of the dystopian system that is being developed, these data centers strain local municipalities through consumption at extremely high rates.
This clandestine operation should be stopped and more light shed on its operations. Our governments should not support, either directly or indirectly, the means to infringe upon our rights. Therefore, I urge our local and state governments in Kentucky to take immediate action. Prohibit the installation and operation of Flock cameras across the state. Further, stop the construction and completion of new data centers which facilitate the violation of our privacy rights.
