This hurts my heart 💙 Wendy really meant something to me and still does. I used to watch a show every day. I loved how she was so honest and inspirational to people I hope and pray she gets her freedom.
Wendy Williams a innovator for radio and television worked hard for many years and became successful in her own right. Humans should have a right to be able to make personal choices in all areas of their life. Wendy is being mistreated financially and denied the right to have a phone, make purchases with her money, visit her loved ones and taking away her pets like she is a prisoner. Every human has the right to live comfortably and be treated with respect, dignity and kindness.
I believe Wendy Williams rights are being violated. I heard Wendy Williams speak very clearly and recall past events with ease. Her current state being isolated, not having access to her pets or to visit family is heartbreaking. This is abuse and I believe she deserves much more than this.
I work in the field of social and human services. I believe in choice, rights and independence. It is wrong and she should be under the least restrictive. She deserves a life. No one should feel imprisoned. She should have a review hearing and Sabrina Morrissey should not be allowed to spend Wendy's money for five years. Where are Wendy's rights ? She needs an advocate or a lawyer that cares that can represent her in this battle.
Wendy Williams’ conservatorship is a clear example of why this system desperately needs to be changed. Conservatorships are designed to protect individuals who are genuinely unable to care for themselves, but in cases like Wendy’s, they can become a form of control that strips away basic rights and freedoms. Wendy has publicly stated that she is not cognitively impaired, yet she is being denied control over her own life and finances. This raises serious concerns about how easily someone can be placed under such restrictive legal arrangements without proper checks and balances.
The system lacks transparency and accountability, allowing guardians to make decisions without the individual’s consent or meaningful oversight. Wendy’s isolation and the emotional toll she has described show how conservatorships can lead to abuse and neglect. This is not just Wendy’s fight—it reflects a larger, systemic issue that can impact anyone.
There must be reforms that prioritize the well-being and autonomy of the person under conservatorship. Regular mental and physical health evaluations, more rigorous court reviews, and the individual’s voice in decision-making should be standard. Without change, the system will continue to harm those it was meant to protect. This is a human rights issue, and it must be addressed now.
This is unlawful. This is a money grab prison these people have placed her in. Wendy William is capable to live her life as she wants without strangers dictating her every move. Wendy is an adult and cognitively capable to live her life independently.
I'm a mother to an only child and it devastates me that a person can rob my child out of their inheritance and kidnap me away from my family. This is not America. They do this because this country doesn't care about black women.

My Mama had FTD and I'm telling you, what they are doing to WW is WRONG! FTD may be called "dementia" but it doesn't affect your memory or thinking clearly like ALZ. FTD affects your PHYSICAL abilities such as speech, walking, blinking, things that use muscles. My Mama had her memory and mind until her last breath. She couldn't feed herself, she couldn't walk, she couldn't blink much, but she KNEW exactly what was going on, who we all were, what was happening to her, and fully aware of what was going on around her. This makes me so mad.
I'm going to find the petition and share the link in the comments here.
Best practice in mental health care is placement in “The least restrictive level of care” appropriate for each client. Intervention is needed to re-assess what this is for Wendy: Having appropriate freedoms and family support vs. isolation in a locked facility with loving family left clamoring for information and the minimal level of involvement in her treatment planning and care. It seem’s obvious which would be more impactful in ameliorating further cognitive deterioration. I’m glad Charlemagne and the Breakfast Club are utilizing their enormous platform to support Wendy and her family. #freewendy
