Wendy Williams Deserves Her Freedom.

 

In 2022, Wendy Williams — the iconic talk show host and media trailblazer — was placed under a financial guardianship initiated by her former bank, Wells Fargo. Without her consent and without public presentation of clear evidence, Wendy lost control of her finances, her possessions, and much of her personal freedom.

 

Guardianship is a serious legal action meant to protect individuals who are genuinely unable to manage their own affairs. However, it must be imposed only after fair, transparent legal proceedings that uphold constitutional rights — including the right to legal representation, the right to contest allegations, and the right to present evidence.

 

In Wendy’s case, it appears these fundamental rights were not fully honored.

Reports suggest she was blocked from fully defending herself, and no public evidence of incapacity or exploitation has been shown to justify the sweeping control taken over her life.
