Siv

Special Immigrant Visas (SIV) are granted to individuals who have worked alongside the U.S. military or government in various capacities, often in conflict zones, and are in need of protection due to their service. Recent events, such as the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan, have brought attention to the plight of SIV holders and their families, who face risks of retaliation from the Taliban. Petitions under this topic focus on expediting the processing of SIV applications, providing safe passage for at-risk individuals, and ensuring their resettlement in the United States. One petition with thousands of signatures calls for faster visa approvals for Afghan allies, highlighting the urgent need to protect those who assisted U.S. forces. Another petition urges the government to increase the quota for SIV applications to accommodate more individuals in danger. Join the movement to support SIV holders and their families by advocating for their safety and timely resettlement. Your action can make a difference in safeguarding those who risked their lives to assist U.S. missions abroad.
