SEPTA is important for transit. Whether it's to see the Eagles crush a team, a Dr appointment, or going out to dinner, a lot of people depend on this to get where they're going. Many people do not have cars. How are they supposed to contribute to the economy if they can't go very far from their home?

SEPTA is a crucial system in the Philadelphia area. It helps people get to jobs, doctor’s appointments, and special events. I take SEPTA to get to and from center city to avoid driving and paying the expensive parking fees. With a 9 PM curfew, I won’t have the option to get home via SEPTA if I’m downtown late night. Also, people who can’t afford Uber and Lyft won’t have the option to take SEPTA late nights after coming home from working second shift jobs. S. O. S. Save Our SEPTA!

Family is a dying platform. If we don't keep what family values are left in today's world intact; our society will continue to rot. Children need the nurturing of loved ones not the forced bandaid of separation. Being taken from true family sites the child that they do not matter. This alone will cause them more trauma that will continue on to future generations.

poverty in dc is extremely significant. more and more apartments are being built, yet few are low-income friendly. just across the street from my apartment, a low-income apartment building was demolished just to build an art gallery that won´t be done until 2030. not only that, but healthcare should be much more affordable than it is. why should you pay to stay alive?

People with severe disabilities cannot work. I have friends and coworkers who can no longer work because they are physically unable to do their jobs. They rely on Medicaid to pay for medical expenses. Others who cannot afford insurance for their children rely on Medicaid so they can be seen promptly and have vaccines to help prevent serious illness and death. Removing SNAP from low income families will mean children and seniors and disabled people go hungry. I don't care about a tax break when it comes to protecting the most vulnerable among us. They worked and paid into the system and when they need benefits, those need to be available.

Not everyone can have a high paying job. This is going to be hard for a lot of families. Kids won't have snacks anymore. Cause who is packing fruit and veggies on a trip. No one. People with hypoglycemia or diabetes are being looked over. The fact that people let politicians spread a stereotype that people on gov assistance don't work is disgusting. They know very well we have to provide proof of income but yet encouraging people to kick us when we are down anyway. It's already embarrassing some of us have to depend on it for groceries supplements much less make us feel even more like second class citizens by limiting what we are allowed to buy.

People are already struggling cut Medicare and food stamps is not a good strategy when food is still expensive. Unless you want people without. Medicare or food stamps who are already barely getting by.
