We have been asking Miss Boebert for a Townhall for a couple of months now. Her email inbox is full, so we can’t send her emails with our questions. When we call her office, usually her staff hangs up on us. She had a Tele Townhall the other night. That was a complete joke. Sounded like she was reading from a script, and again she didn’t answer any of the questions that we had. It’s time for her to meet us in person instead of hiding out.

Progress is not only about making money. Sometimes it is about caring for the environment, for other species than humans, and for leaving things the way they were. All of Huntington Beach has been built up and central park is one of last remaining areas for wildlife. Not everything should be about human entertainment. Some things need yo be left for nature.

I’ve been going to the Central Park for months now. It’s been a place where I can go to spend time in nature and relieve stress from life and work. I love hearing the birds and appreciating the wildlife. Please do not disrupt the wildlife.

Our park is a central part of our community culture and habitat to wildlife that depends on their ecosystem. Don’t disrupt what’s already perfect!

Listen to your constituents for once instead of always selling out to the highest bidder. This is a place where people from all walks of life visit to spend time with family and let nature restore our souls. You never bothered to ask but no one who frequents this park wants this. Keep out park as the natural respite it was intended to be.

This is a wonderful park for children, adults, and seniors. It provides many activities and not even a light show could replicate this. It is a place for everyone, and a light show would make it more expensive. There is wildlife, such as the Egrets that nest there. The park is not for money. The City of Huntington Beach does not need to ruin a wonderful park to get more money.

Please don't install the Light Show in our beautiful Central Park. We have lived in HB for over 35 years, walked all three of our dogs thru CP over that time, and have totally enjoyed all the wild life & serenity HBCP has to offer. We don't want these un-natural flowers!!! Please reconsider. Thanks, Foxie, Michael, & Lorene King (and Mocha & Bogie from doggie-heaven).

This light show installation would harm wildlife and also impact the enjoyment of the park’s current visitors. A green space in the midst of a city full of lights is incredibly valuable for people and their mental health. Please do not add more construction and light pollution and noise to a city that already has enough of that, and not enough open green space.

I am a wildlife reserve volunteer and wildlife photographer. I see only detriment with this project. It will disrupt the local fauna and not really have much benefit to the park, if any. It might ‘look pretty’ but this park is not the place for this project. HBCP is not just a neighborhood park, it is a wildlife sanctuary in its own right.

I am a volunteer for the Secret Garden and walk through greater Central Park weekly, including the proposed site for the light show. We are so blessed to have this amazing sanctuary of wildlife and nature in the midst of our busy city; it is restorative for the heart, mind, body and soul. I cannot tell you how many people have expressed their appreciation for the park every time I am there. You can see it in their eyes and hear it in their voices. I don’t think that we should trade this kind of gratitude away for amusement park type diversions and cash. Some things cannot and should not be sold, and our little bit of wilderness is one of them.
