Pets hold a special place in many peoples hearts, providing companionship, love, and joy. Recent trends show a growing concern for animal welfare, with petitions advocating for stronger protections and rights for pets. Key issues include addressing animal abuse, promoting adoption over buying from breeders, and improving conditions in animal shelters.
Notable petitions have called for harsher penalties for animal cruelty, with one petition gathering thousands of signatures to support tougher laws against offenders. Another petition focuses on banning puppy mills and encouraging people to adopt from shelters instead.
Take action by exploring the petitions on pet welfare and lending your voice to create a better world for our furry friends. Your support can help change policies and practices to ensure a brighter future for pets everywhere.
Women are the majority in this country. Women are the ones who should decide when they wish or if they wish to procreate. We do ALL the heavy lifting, from conception to the end of our lives, so our voices are the only ones that are heard.
Video to come in a while. To deny nonhuman companions shelter is cruel, not only though especially, to them but also to their people. I would never go into a shelter that made me leave my nonhuman family outside or in my house, left vulnerable to the elements. If the powers that be really want to figure out a solution, they can if they take the time to do so.
Dogs have evolved along side us for many thousands of years and truly are wonderful companions-how can we allow them to be neglected in the worst way possible?!? Please make it a law that pets are not left outside in extreme temperatures! It’s such a small step to protect our furry friends.
We know what we want. We want Miami -Dade to care for our homeless animals. We want Miami -Dade to be a caring place. We tried years ago and were told we were stupid , that we don’t understand what we voted for, we did. Please follow through and give us hope and comfort for our homeless animals.
I have had dogs all my life and did not realize3 how bad walking your dog by a collar. I see people walk their children with a body harness ass to not lose them or have them run into traffic. If you would not put a collar on your child for a walk, why would you do that to your dog, cat or any animal you want to take for a walk. It is dangerous and painful.
So glad that I saw ur notice at Oak Valley Animal hospital Bmt. Yes it is deplorable that th Banning Shelter was closed with NO ADEQUATE NO-KILL PLANS IN PLACE / I heard & testified at Banning City Council concerning this & begged they continue w/Amber or have a dependable caring substitute in place - I will b happy to assist w/petition signing -God bless & Merry Christmas!
I would like to say that I cannot believe the shelter just closed. I always thought there was one up there. I live 35 minutes away. I hope that city Council hears everyone’s words and they do open up another shelter. Animals really do need your help. it is horrible to see him out in the streets. There’s only so much that we can all do . I would like to say that if a shelter was to be opened up there, I would definitely volunteer my time to help.
Please help Cash get home. This case should have been a slam dunk. The nightmare of having a trusted friend take your dog to train and dog sit, while you go on holiday. The sitters intentions are very clear in her messages, but it's your friend and why wouldn't you trust them. Well she wasn't a good friend, she is a scam artist and Cash needs to get home!
i met jess a few years ago, before her health troubles began, and was always hearing about noel and juniper. keeping a person from having their pets is cruel, especially when the reason for rehoming in the first place is outside their control. jess deserves to have the comfort of juniper back in her life!
