I retired and now work full time again because the cost of everything is unsustainable with just my pension and my wife’s career salary. It is time to bring back COLA. The cost of COLA when it was utilized never made anyone rich. It just helps. And that’s all we are asking for.

I've had violations through no fault of my own due to transponder problems on my NYezpass acct and when dealing with NJezpass the rep acknowledged it was a problem with NYezpass transponders and they only forgave $500 of $700 worth of toll violations from that same time period. Sometimes their toll plazas don't read, how is it that as an Ezpass customer I can't just pay the damn toll when it's finally charged to my account and have the additional $30-$50 admin fee waived? Because it's a racket and we have no recourse. I hope this lawsuit changes something because this is literally highway robbery!

Had approximately $110 billed to EZ-Pass in Virginia due to an inaccurate license plate recorded in their database. Last four digits did not match to the car to which they were billed, had nothing in common with our other car, and nothing similar to any prior car. EZ-Pass refused to refund the charges and maintained the plate was as originally entered (it wasn't). EZPass reps maintained we must have entered four of the seven characters of our license plate incorrectly... Decided not to take the matter to small claims court due to the small total amount. Would happily join any class action. These people are simply predatory and their policy is absurd.

Perhaps some attention could be directed towards reopening a firehouse that serves long-time residents. Many of these homes are wood frame structures. Response time is crucial and every minute matters when saving lives and extinguishing fires. Our brave firefighters and the residents of the city deserve nothing but the best resources.

The Communipaw neighborhood includes entire blocks made up of wood-frame homes that not only catch fire quickly but also share a cockloft attic that allows fires to spread faster.
In the last three years alone, the neighborhood has experienced at least three house fires that spread to multiple buildings, leaving far too many families displaced and without a home.
With climate change making droughts and extreme winds all the more frequent, the city should be taking steps to cut down response times in a high risk neighborhood.
The JCFD does truly incredible work and deserve all the praise in the world; the only thing that could make them better — and our neighbors safer — is if they could get to house fires faster, and that requires a firehouse in our neighborhood.

The security that was appreciated when you could knock on the door and get help. Their absence delays the quick response of fire apparatus in this area. The increased traffic flow for downtown & New York commuters slows response time for other Fire apparatus covering the area from some distance away.
