I have customized my tag and it has not altered the number and letters of my tag and is reflective. The tag has brought nothing but joy to those who have come encounter to it. Even police officers have complemented it. I feel that I would love to be able to customized our Florida license plate as we wish to promote self expression which is part of the fundamental rights of Americans.
Currently going through the court system because of platemakers custom plate. It is considered a class B misdemeanor in North Dakota to "Alter" said license plate. $200+ for plate & $3500 in legal fees
Please help Cash get home. This case should have been a slam dunk. The nightmare of having a trusted friend take your dog to train and dog sit, while you go on holiday. The sitters intentions are very clear in her messages, but it's your friend and why wouldn't you trust them. Well she wasn't a good friend, she is a scam artist and Cash needs to get home!
I have tried to remain compliant with Ezpass NJ by making sure my account was always funded and paying violations on time. I've had violations through no fault of my own due to transponder problems on my NYezpass acct and when dealing with NJezpass the rep acknowledged it was a problem with NYezpass transponders and they only forgave $500 of $700 worth of toll violations from that same time period. Sometimes their toll plazas don't read, how is it that as an Ezpass customer I can't just pay the damn toll when it's finally charged to my account and have the additional $30-$50 admin fee waived? Because it's a racket and we have no recourse. I hope this lawsuit changes something because this is literally highway robbery!
Just sharing our experience. Had approximately $110 billed to EZ-Pass in Virginia due to an inaccurate license plate recorded in their database. Last four digits did not match to the car to which they were billed, had nothing in common with our other car, and nothing similar to any prior car. EZ-Pass refused to refund the charges and maintained the plate was as originally entered (it wasn't). EZPass reps maintained we must have entered four of the seven characters of our license plate incorrectly... Decided not to take the matter to small claims court due to the small total amount. Would happily join any class action. These people are simply predatory and their policy is absurd.
Consider the benefits:
- The ability to communicate in emergency situations. After all, it's not like modern houses have home phones, and if something happens at school then phones could be very useful in that situation (Pediatric Experts 1).
- Opportunities for social contact with peers. What if a kid is having a bad day, and they want to text their buddy during a traveling period? There's no harm in that (Pediatric Experts 1).
- Ability to gain immediate knowledge for personal or academic use. Say, if your school computer died, you could look something up using your phone. Or, another example could be a calculator. Don't have one? Use your phone. Easy. (Pediatric Experts 1).
- Music. A lot of kids find comfort in listening to music, and I think that's a central use for phones at school. I'm not implying that listening to music DURING class without permission is what kids should be doing, but during traveling periods, free time, or lunch they should be able to. Schools should not ban that altogether.
CONSIDER THESE, GOVERNOR MURPHY!!
Phones should not be banned. Students use it as a way of communicating with friends and parents. Communicating with your parents is very important to do when something comes up. Our phones allow us to do that without having to go up to a teacher and ask to speak with a parent. It also gives better privacy to what the student wants to talk about
Jersey City rolls out the red carpet for developers downtown and along the waterfront. Perhaps some attention could be directed towards reopening a firehouse that serves long-time residents. Many of these homes are wood frame structures. Response time is crucial and every minute matters when saving lives and extinguishing fires. Our brave firefighters and the residents of the city deserve nothing but the best resources.
The Communipaw neighborhood is at a high risk for house fires that can quickly spread, threatening the health, safety, and housing of thousands of families.
The Communipaw neighborhood includes entire blocks made up of wood-frame homes that not only catch fire quickly but also share a cockloft attic that allows fires to spread faster.
In the last three years alone, the neighborhood has experienced at least three house fires that spread to multiple buildings, leaving far too many families displaced and without a home.
With climate change making droughts and extreme winds all the more frequent, the city should be taking steps to cut down response times in a high risk neighborhood.
The JCFD does truly incredible work and deserve all the praise in the world; the only thing that could make them better — and our neighbors safer — is if they could get to house fires faster, and that requires a firehouse in our neighborhood.
