Masuk is a vital issue in many countries, including Indonesia, where it refers to the entrance exam for state universities. Recent trends show growing concerns over the fairness and transparency of the Masuk system, with petitions calling for reforms to ensure equal opportunities for all students. Key issues include the socio-economic disparities that affect access to quality education and the pressure students face to excel in a high-stakes exam. One petition with thousands of signatures urges the government to make Masuk more inclusive for marginalized communities and provide support for students from low-income backgrounds. Another notable petition highlights the mental health toll of exam stress and advocates for a more holistic approach to higher education admissions. Join the movement to advocate for a fairer Masuk system and support students in achieving their academic goals. Make your voice heard and help shape the future of education in Indonesia.

As a parent who will have a child at masuk in a couple of years, I’m really sad to hear that they are planning to get rid of Flex Time. I think this setup is one of the number one things that sets Monroe schools apart from other districts in our area. I hear current high schools talk about how valuable that time is to them all the time.
As a parent of a freshman at Masuk, I have seen my son thrive with the block schedule. Transitioning from 1-8 in Middle School to 1-4/5-8 has made such a difference in his day to day stress level and ability to get all the work done. I hope the block schedule is reconsidered!
High school is stressful enough as it is, but if we implement a 1-8 schedule it’s gonna be even more stressful for students. Normally I 2-3 tests a week, but if we get rid of the block schedules then the amount of tests will skyrocket, creating more stress for those who are actually the ones affected by the change.
