Section 504 has been a lifeline for so many people, and it’s essential that our voices are heard. Its impact reaches far and wide, touching the lives of mothers (or fathers), veterans, and individuals of all ages. It plays a crucial role in our health, education, safety, and so much more.
As someone with disabilities, I carry dreams and hopes for a brighter future, and I truly want to make a positive difference.
The removal of Section 504 would mean taking a step backwards for our society. It would strip away our freedoms and basic human rights—rights that every individual deserves. I ask you, not just for the sake of others, but also for your own wellbeing. Each of us will feel the consequences if this essential support is taken away, and it will inevitably impact our loved ones too.
I genuinely believe that the world is capable of kindness and compassion. I implore you to consider this deeply. Please, let’s not lose what has been fought for so hard. Together, we can strive for understanding and progress. Please 🙏

Becerra"As a parent who will have a child at masuk in a couple of years, I’m really sad to hear that they are planning to get rid of Flex Time. I think this setup is one of the number one things that sets Monroe schools apart from other districts in our area. I hear current high schools talk about how valuable that time is to them all the time.

Transitioning from 1-8 in Middle School to 1-4/5-8 has made such a difference in his day to day stress level and ability to get all the work done. I hope the block schedule is reconsidered!
Kelly supported: Save The Block Schedule At MasukHigh school is stressful enough as it is, but if we implement a 1-8 schedule it’s gonna be even more stressful for students. Normally I 2-3 tests a week, but if we get rid of the block schedules then the amount of tests will skyrocket, creating more stress for those who are actually the ones affected by the change.
