I am a stayed home father of three young children. I am a political conservative. I'm a former Republican. I deeply care about my country. And I believe that Donald Trump must be stopped if we still want to have a United States to pass on to our children.
My children are Hispanic, they are in danger regardless if they were born here. All I hear is we have the constitution. I’m sorry but I can’t believe in the constitution anymore, this man has broken our constitution and keeps getting away with it. We are hard working Americans who are in fear every day. We depend on our countries constitution to protect us . We have no protection right now. This is not the dream , to wake up fearing the day , to see immigrants being treated like animals and not given the chance to live their lives in peace

It feels so unsafe right now and I think a lot of people don’t know what they actually voted for. We need to get him out of office NOW!!!! Trump has no empathy for these hard working immigrants. The bills they are trying to pass are just insane. No human being is illegal and these hard workers should not be living in fear. Not to mention women’s rights are being taken away. They are putting people in detention centers where they are being forced to work. Mississippi trying to pass a bill that allows people to report undocumented people and these people will be forced to work basically slavery. We’ve taken a huge step backwards. This country feels so unsafe with Trump as president.

Completely misplaced hate, ignorance, and incompetence is even more blatantly on display in this second term than it was during Trumps first term. The lack of empathy coming from the wealthy and powerful few risks altering the course of human history and turning back so many years of progress. America has only ever been “Great” for the white and straight few; and as a member of that majority, even I EASILY recognize that we have so far to go to make America great, to make our planet great for all of us to enjoy. Now is our time to band together and put aside such petty differences, embrace empathy and understanding, and take the time to listen to the needs and dreams of one another so that we can improve the lives of the oppressed and progress the human race on an equal front.

I lost a friend of 47 years because she told me that my fear of losing desperately needed assistance/Security was stupid and all she cared about was her own SS She accused me of letting my PTSD run my life. When I queried as to what about all the vetted horror stories about arrests of innocent people as well as tariffs that are hurting our country as well as our neighbors she said she did not want to hear about it, etc. that she just wanted peace In her life and she didn't care about anything else or listen to my concerns. I was so hurt and shocked that I hung up and blocked her. And the worst part of all of this is that she calls herself a Christian but her actions or lack thereof,speak much louder than words. To summarize my thoughts I am 80 and struggling to support verbally, efforts to rid our country of its poison of hateful leadership and threats of harm and loss of democracy and the rule of law,the slashing of venerable departments from Education to Medical research and dozens of others by a man who wants to be king taking vengeance on anyone who gets in his way.The tales of horror just keep coming. So, successful impeachment vote,removal from office, a slap upside Republican heads, and restoration if possible of our country 's honor. Well, it's a start. Then a reaching out from our elected officials to our communities to help those victimized by the Executive branch. I have lost my friend but all I can do is pray for protection and guidance and hope for seeing our country healed as well as my needs as an 80 year old to hold on to SS and Medicaid and a decent roof over my head.
