Canada is supposed to be strong and free. The proposals in bill C-2 would strip our freedoms away, as well as seriously hurt our ability to help refugees and other human beings in need. Especially in these unprecedented times, where Queer and PoC Americans are no longer safe within their own country's borders.
As a proud Canadian, I have absolutely no interest in "mending trade relations" with the U.S.A.
Donald Trump is a dangerous individual, and seeing our "liberal" government capitulate to his authoritarian whims like this is beyond disappointing. This bill is an outright betrayal of everything we as Canadians stand for.
