Coach Pride’s service to Byron Nelson’s football team and to Byron Nelson as a whole was unmatched. He had a character that not only filled the room with laughter and fun, but shaped a lot of Bobcats/Bobcat Alum into who they are today! Naming the future Byron Nelson Football Stadium after Coach Pride would allow for everyone that walks into that stadium to appreciate and remember how great of a Coach and person Coach Pride was!
Whitney supported: Name future Byron Nelson Football Stadium after Coach Travis PrideEverything about this is wrong. Sports are just as important as everything else that helps students grow and get to their potential. Would you ask a student to go to college without studying or having any guidance?? To find a job without experience or knowledge? This is no different. How is it possible? It makes no sense. Why remove the joy that kids CHOOSE to have. The motivation, drive, help and growth for the future. Isn't that what SCHOOL is supposed to provide?
Please make this right.
Reyna supported: Let Miguel Contreras have an off-season!This is a decision that should have been discussed rather than just dropped on children and parent when it was finalized. This football team has so much parental support whether the kids were home or away. The children work hard to have the grades are involved in multiple sports and clubs to get shut off the way they did was not fair. Every school has an off season Miguel Contreras deserves it too and us as parents will fight for our children and the coaches who believed in them and supported them on and off the field !
Brenda supported: Let Miguel Contreras have an off-season!I feel this is not fair for many of the students. I feel that as someone of this community a lot of these kids don’t have opportunities to really know about football. For example, I know that a lot of kids know how to play soccer. It’s one of the most known sports here specifically in this community. This community is deprived on football clubs therefore, when kids get to high school they are relatively new to the game and need a lot of practice. I’m very thankful for the coaches trying to be able to put their part in helping these kids and really know the game. Making them be able to become better version of themselves through this game and it’s unfair. The fact that many athletic directors don’t really see or are hearing the needs of these kids and the families.
Genesis supported: Let Miguel Contreras have an off-season!Please allow the kids to have off-season practice. If not for the sport, for the very reason of keeping these kids busy and away from the gangs and street violence in the surrounding neighborhood of MCLC where many of these children live. Football allows these boys to take out frustrations from home on the field; and with the proper coaches, discipline and guidance on and off the field as a life tool.
Luis supported: Let Miguel Contreras have an off-season!As a Brewster Alum and former player for Coach Mulvihill I cannot stress how Important it is for athletes to be comfortable in their environment to perform as well as receive a fair shot at playing. Since the North Salem players have already started their playing careers with Brewster players it is a natural progression for them to continue. It is absurd to ask families to pay the $300 without any chance to play competitively. I would love to know why the decision was made to join Somers.
Liam supported: SAVE North Salem (NY) Middle and High school FootballMy son has had an absolute blast learning and playing the sport of lacrosse through Delta Breeze. However, if this sport is not in our local high schools by the time he is of age, he will have to commute to high school. Please allow Liberty Union students the opportunity to learn the history of this Native American sport of warriors and to develop the love and passion for such an incredible sport built on strength, teamwork, and respect.
Leigh supported: Encourage Liberty Union School District to Recognize Lacrosse as a CIF SportYou’re not alone — a community of supporters is ready to back you.
