Hajj is not a vacation—it is a religious obligation. Yet, many U.S. citizens are unable to secure their pilgrimage due to Nusuk’s unreliable system and the severely limited visa allocation. Packages vanish without explanation, support is nonexistent, and no alternatives are provided.
If visas are restricted, pilgrims should not be required to deposit large sums only to lose fees when they cannot secure a spot through no fault of their own.
We urge immediate action to:
1. Fix Nusuk to ensure a fair and transparent booking process.
2. Increase U.S. Hajj visa allocations to meet demand.
3. Ensure full refunds for those unable to secure a package.
This must be addressed urgently to prevent American Muslims from being unfairly denied their right to perform Hajj. Please provide clarity on next steps.
This has been one of the most disappointing experiences of my life. For the past three years, I’ve watched a system going from bad to worse, leaving thousands of people disheartened, financially strained, and robbed of their hopes—year after year. This is at best incompetence but allowing this is a sin! I am totally not forgiving any one who is responsible for this disaster !
This cannot continue. A lasting solution must be implemented to ensure that pilgrims are properly identified before they invest their hard earned money or select a package. It’s time to fix this once and for all.
This has been the most stressful and most frustrating experience in my life. Getting close to my God should not be such a convoluted, inefficient process. You need a better system to accommodate the huge amount of Muslims willing to accomplish this important pillar of our religion. You just crushed the hope and dream of millions.
This has been one of the worst experiences for me. The Nusuk platform is a joke and the creators have done a terrible job to be able to accommodate millions of people. The agents working for them are also thieves and all they care about is their money and commissions. I was really upset with the way our case was handled as me and my wife both had applied for Hajj Visas together but they only granted visa for me and not my wife. How is my wife supposed to perform Hajj at another time?? This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for us and the way the whole organization handled this was beyond ridiculous. We put our hard earned money into someone’s hands to make this journey a reality for us but the system let us done. Now getting back the refund is a whole different issue with more deductions and loss of money. I hope the Hajj Administration takes some action and go back to the old way of doing things which was much better than what it is now!!!
Disappointing Experience with Nusuk Hajj Platform
I'm extremely disappointed with the Nusuk Hajj platform, which promised a seamless and convenient experience for Hajj pilgrims. Unfortunately, the reality was far from it.
The platform's user interface was clunky and difficult to navigate, making it hard to access essential services and information. The mobile app was slow and frequently crashed, causing frustration and anxiety during critical moments.
Moreover, the platform's customer support was unresponsive and unhelpful. I encountered several issues with my booking and accommodations, but the support team failed to provide timely and effective solutions.
The platform's inability to integrate with other essential services, such as transportation and accommodation providers, added to the chaos and disorganization. This lack of integration led to unnecessary delays, confusion, and stress.
Overall, my experience with the Nusuk Hajj platform was marred by technical issues, poor customer support, and a lack of integration with other essential services. I would not recommend this platform to fellow pilgrims and hope that the developers take immediate action to address these concerns.
*Rating:* 1/5 stars
*Recommendation:* Until significant improvements are made, I would advise pilgrims to reach out Saudi Embassy through their local senators.
Given how many resources Saudi has, I would have expected a much more streamlined process. Nusuk should be well aware of how many people are trying to sign up for Hajj and their website and support team should be able to accommodate that. I have been beyond frustrated with Nusuk's support center as they have held on to thousands of dollars of mine with no sense of urgency in getting my issue resolved. I have spent over a month trying to get my money back. It is truly unacceptable how long they hold on to your money and the fees they charge to get your own money back. Nusuk needs to be held accountable for how chaotic, disorganized, and stressful this process is.
The experience with the Nusuk app on the day of the sale is absolutely horrible. In 2025 it is unfathomable that a service provider doesn't have the bandwidth to support an excess of 100k visits on its site at once. We have social media companies, retails online stores, and many more examples that support more than 1milliong visitors on their site daily with it crashing. The Nusuk platform really needs to get up to date with technology when it comes to the server demands on the day of the sale. Furthermorez we definitely need to increase the quotas for the western countries. I was told that before the Nusuk system there was a demand of about 20k people from the U.S to go to Hajj yearly and now the quota is only 3500 initially. That is almost 7 people to one package. We should be encouraging people to be performing Hajj not hindering them with unnecessary obstacles. I really hope the Hajj ministry and Nusuk platform can figure this out especially with the 2030 vision which is trying to accomodate 5 million pilgrims at a time. I think we really need to work on this system. Thank you JZK

The platform's user interface was clunky and difficult to navigate, making it hard to access essential services and information. The mobile app was slow and frequently crashed, causing frustration and anxiety during critical moments. It has many flaws as it cannot handle millions of requests during package purchases. It’s very clear that OTP doesn’t arrive in 5 minutes so why not increasing the time frame or just simply use 2FA instead. Such a big and important event such as Hajj should be handled with a much better and scalable system. My OTPs arrived 50 minutes later and I never had a chance to try purchasing a package in the first round. I could not even login to the system during the third round.
Nusuk system is a very unprofessionally designed system. It has many flaws as it cannot handle millions of requests during package purchases. My OTPs arrived 50 minutes later and I never had a chance to try purchasing a package in the first round. I could not even login to the system during the third round. As a result I lost $650 for card fees. This is not fair to anyone who wants to perform their worship.
