The current enforcement system is so unfair. Its too overkill any profanity instant ban adds strikes against your account and they take 6 months to expire. It doesnt matter what game you play whether its an 18+ rated or a game intended for kids the problem is deal with the same. If your playing a game that contains violence profanity and "disturbing visuals" and you are keeping the language to that game and that community why should you be punished for using a word that is first of all contained in the game and second of all everyone is supposed to be an adult. Ever since they introduced this new system i have been banned many times and ive always said to people how they can improve it. Simply add a notice on your profile for example "This user may use language which some players may find offensive" or an adult only party setting which displays a prompt of "This party may contain offensive language do you wish to join" this then creates a space intended for people who like to play more mature games. The system that is used so over the top its ridiculous. What used to be trash talking each other and enjoying the game and interacting with the community has now turnt into a place where every word is analysed and bans are being issued out left and right to users because "Oh no someone used a bad word on 18 rated game banned". Since the system is so over the top its actually abused by petty gamers. They will trash talk you to get you to use profanity against them then report you. Next thing you know banned. There needs to be a system yes but change it so its fair to every age of gamer.

Huge problem with spawn killing it makes me not enjoy the game and avoid playing it. Spawn killing gives the player or team executing it an unfair advantage over their opponents. Players who are repeatedly killed as they respawn have little to no opportunity to react or engage, leading to a one-sided encounter that skews the game’s fairness. Discourages New Players: For new or inexperienced players, encountering spawn killing can be particularly demoralizing. Instead of having a chance to learn the game mechanics and improve, they may feel overwhelmed and frustrated, leading to a negative first impression that could discourage them from continuing to play. Decreases Game Enjoyment: The enjoyment of multiplayer games often comes from the challenge and engagement of fair play. Spawn killing can diminish this enjoyment significantly, leading to frustration and resentment among affected players. Gaming should be a fun experience, and spawn killing disrupts that for many. Imbalance in Strategy: When spawn killing is prevalent, it undermines the strategic components of gameplay. Players should rely on tactics and teamwork, but spawn killing shifts the focus to exploiting spawn points rather than developing planned strategies. This can make games less engaging and dynamic. Negative Community Impact: A practice like spawn killing can foster a toxic gaming environment. It may encourage bad behaviors such as camping (staying in one spot to ambush) or exploiting game mechanics, leading to resentment among players and a divided community. Over time, this can create an unpleasant atmosphere that drives players away. Stagnation of Skill Development: Continuous spawn killing prevents players from developing their skills. When players are never given the opportunity to engage meaningfully in a match, they miss out on learning opportunities that come from both wins and losses, stunting overall growth and improvement in gameplay.

The latest February 2025 Windows update makes Windows Mixed Reality unable to even install. Forget about Microsoft's promise to keep it viable until 2026, they locked it up at the start of 2025 in a Windows 10 update. I now have a perfectly fine Dell Visor VR headset that was working perfectly until the update that my son spent several hundred dollars on for a gift for me for my birthday that is now as useful as a paper weight. I was enjoying Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 with it because the VR experience in the simulator is unexcelled, now, flat screen views of what I once enjoyed in glorious VR now makes it unplayable for me. I am not spending several hundred dollars for another VR headset just for a flight simulator!

Microsoft shouldn't have to continue to invest in a platform they consider dead, but making it so that people are unable to use something that they paid for that is unacceptable. Windows Mixed Reality (WMR) Headsets are still functional and can be used for a plethora of Virtual Reality experiences. Forcing a product into a non-functional state when it could still be used, no matter if it is considered obsolete / unsupported or not, is not okay. This decision from Microsoft creates a large amount of unnecessary of e-waste which forces consumers to contribute to environmental harm. It also takes away from consumers who purchased the headset(s) making it so the product they spent their hard earned money on, which otherwise would be still fully or mostly functional, fully non-functional. By making the WMR Platform open source, Microsoft would not have to invest into the project while also allowing independent developers to keep the function of their headsets as-well as others. By removing the functionality of the headsets completely, Microsoft wont have to invest into it anymore but will as a side effect be taking away from consumers who bought into the platform and generate a large amount of unnecessary e-waste.

Windows Mixed Reality is not dead. It's users still exist, and have invested significantly in our hardware. Bricking this expensive hardware with no alternative in this manner is unacceptable, when an open source version could be easily trimmed down and released to the community to maintain for ourselves at no cost to Microsoft.

I’m a VR user. And this change in windows mixed reality has turned my hardware into a brick. It is ridiculous that Microsoft has made this change without any sort of fallback or option to be able to continue to use my headset. Something should be done about this as many many people have VR hardware that can only run beside WMR

I own an HP reverb g2, that's $500, at the time of purchase, that will become a paperweight on a platform that made no inclination to it being limited time only. Companies need to stop arbitrarily killing products or games on a whim and screwing over the very people that made them so successful. End of support is understandable, but end of all use if you want any updates at all is horrendous and predatory. I can't in good conscious even sell this device/now shelf display paperweight to recoup some of the cost. Microsoft much backtrack, release driver, make this open source, or reimburse those who bought into the platform. If other companies pay their users for mistakes like this (such as apple with their batteries and slowing of older models) then so should they. This action is class action lawsuit worthy and must be remedied in some way.
